During tomorrow's event, our MM fields are open ? Let's see if the jackpot & uncommon prizes are more liberal in Halloween event. Waiting for some kind hearted & clever brained person to open the strategy thread

I have a strategy worked out for me on this Halloween event but am getting ready to leave for an appointment. My strategy may be different than others but am happy to share when I get home and anyone can tailor it to suit themselves or point out any flaws that I may have overlooked.

I put trees and things in the haunted Manor this morning But that was the only place I could get into

 

Sorry, Dnin - I was just thinking out loud but my fingers kept typing and my head kept adding but I think I have over-estimated (not a bad thing but can be very scary!).

I think my strategy will be to get the prizes from the FSQ, open the fields and the Fairy Pens as soon as I can then concentrate on the Grimoires and Magic Meals. I am sure that once we all get started, all will become clear as ... mud!

Thank you so much for the good news about MM - I was fairly close on one of the FSQs to open more land.

 

I have no idea what that loot** whatever is, but I don't think it really matters. As what matter is the progress steps. One step at L1 den, 2 at level 2 and 3 at level 3 for each den. I tried to type it very simple and boring in my previous post.

Yes we do get our first house at the very start. Houses are unlocked at 1st, 3rd and 5th field. And the 1st is already open. The quest looks more interesting than the actual event itself. So I'll be focusing on that after I've open the fields.

That's tempting too, cos I think both are doable.

 

I was looking for the new event thread but didn't find one so...

My strategy is very much like Moraine's in Post #195...

There will be a special event field so no crop/stable/tree preparation is possible.
After event starts I will grow everything I need to open all the fields as soon as possible. No SG... bummer!
Illy makes excellent point about field size, since we can't use CAC/PJam. I no longer spend RM on game so I will, most likely, use something other than 1x1s.
Then I stir the cauldron and mix the 9 Grimoire to upgrade the Fairy Dens.
After that...
I'm still debating but will either mix up some goop to speed up the Fairy Dens or work the Quest. For the Quest I will finish all the silver first then finish the L4g&d, L5g&d.
Pretty sure... loottable = Fairy Den Rewards. I think I like those better than the other stuff in the Quest. Esp considering the price of reg MM assets. I'd rather focus on opening the two new sections of the new MF field.

I have plans for the weekend which will probably interfere with this event. I'm a very casual play at this point so I don't much care...

BTW: I finished this event with following left overs on main farm...
158 spray bottles
4185 spider fern
172 shadow mulch
15 midnight fruit
Obviously I wasn't paying close attention to what I was doing. LOL! Maybe I should have read the strategy thread BEFORE the event was over. LOL!
I went to bed at my usual time about 10h before the end of the event. I was planning on one more login before the end but the internet doGs had other plans. The event was over before I was awake enough to move furniture and power cycle the modem. Price I pay for living on wrong side of planet.

 

Halloween Fairy Tale + Companion Quest:
My strategy is to first complete level 1,2 &3 of the quest... This will yield 210 venom bulbs, 450 moonlight herbs, 11 breaths of life AND 6 magic meals.
With the venom bulbs I can open the second part of my field.
In the mean time the maximum number of seeds that can be planted on the event field is 125 (using 1x1 - not necessary without CAC), so of the 450 moonlight herbs from the quest and the 50 you start the event with you can gladly use 100 straight away with 8 of the breaths of life from the quest to produce a grimoire to upgrade your first fairy den...
From there on its just slogging away...

• first opening the field - focusing on growing venom bulbs
• then focusing on meals and grimoires by growing moonlight herbs

As for the finer maths of the thing... I let that handle itself.

I am so confused. I read that FAQ and all I can say is that the whole thing is as clear as mud. However, I want that cloud row, so I'll figure it out and slog through.

I think Illy is right - with no CAC help, etc. might as well use 2x2s. We had a similar event a while back and I remember plunking 2x2s, then 1x2s and finally 1x1s so I left no blank space. However, if you do as I did (and plan to do again) remember this - PLANT YOUR SEEDS MANUALLY ON THE 2x2's FIRST. Do not rely on the seeder function, as it goes berserk and will often seed 1x1s before a 2x2. Learn from my failure last time we had access to fields where Fuzzles used to live.

I can do the quest easily using honeydew melons and camels! But WAIT!...
those are Baha NOT MM. Bummer... LOL!

I can do it the whole quest but not sure it's worth it...
I think I probably will do the whole quest just to speed things along, W/O SG!, give my game as much boost as possible at the beginning. My schedule needs that help. So finishing the whole event is still iffy.

 

Puppiesnponies has started a strategy thread for this event ... and done some sums for us!

By the way, just checked my inventory and I have 24,000 Killer Tomatoes - I will be throwing in 10,000 of those and keeping all my lovely critters.
