More lingering tooltips

I am having some of the same problems as farmingfreebird. Unfortunately I didn't see that thread until it was closed.

In my case it is, and has been for a couple of weeks at least, it's happening everywhere I go and they don't go away until I click on an item in that area. If I am using the harvester they stay there no matter what I do, harvest, feed, plant, water, etc., until I click on something in that area, either a stable, a plot of land, or something else.

I had resigned myself to it being caused by my using a touch screen type of computer since the labels stay there permanently when I open the market tab, the inventory, or the multi-tool, but now I see it is happening to others also.

Mine look exactly like farmingfreebird's sceen shot. Unfortunately I have not yet mastered saving screen shots on this computer. It is not a major issue, but rather a small annoyance. I just thought you should know that it is happening to more of us out here. Thank you.

Thank you for pointing this out, we appreciate it - your fellow farmer farmingfreebird did mention that it occurs to more players indeed. Turning off the tooltips, as suggested in the other thread, should be a nice workaround while this is being taken care of - farming on a touch-screen device is very hard already without the tooltips getting in the way .

There isn't anything else except how to turn off the tooltips, but I'll figure that out.

Touchscreen computers have some advantages, but they also give you a workout when doing things like farming. Of course you could say I'm burning calories.

If you log into your farm and look in the upper right corner, click on the cogs (middle button), then on the movie clip board in the submenu that expands, you will be taken to the window with game settings. In the left column you will see the 'Tool tips' option with On / Off checkboxes. Mark the right one to tun them off, and then save the changes. After refreshing the game you will no longer have the tooltips showing up.

Thank you teddy.bear. I have found farmerama kindergarden to be a lot of fun and very educational. It's also my first kindergarden since when I went to school there was no kindergarden, (I suddenly feel very, very old.).

For what it's worth. After I turned tooltips off and reloaded the game the problem was solved, but I found that when I hovered my mouse over a crop in my barn I didn't receive the crop's information. So I turned tooltips back on, figuring I could just live with the minor inconveniences, and the problem with the labels did not come back.
I don't know how long this will work as a cure, but it might be something others could try.

Hello Mods,

I am having the same problem again. Cycling the tooltips off, then back on solved the problem for about 30 minutes then it went back to the same problem. If anything it has gotten worse.

When I go to the market if I want to see the prices of items, when I put my tooltip on the item I want to open all the information about that item appears normally, but when I open the item to see the prices the label with all the item's information stays on the screen, blocking a good portion of the screen. The only way I can get rid of it is to click on,"Overview", go back out, click on the desired item, then quickly click somewhere else on an open area of the market before the items information pops up.

I can work around this problem, but the troubling thing is the problem is getting worse. I have done all the normal fixes I can, emptying the cache, clearing everything, and making sure everything on my computer is updated. There has to be a glitch in the programming somewhere. I just wonder how many others are quietly enduring these same troubles.

what browser are you using?
Have you tried a different browser? does the problem still occur?

 

I am using Firefox and Adobe flash player. No, I have not tried any other browser.

I would like to hear from anybody else who is having the same problem. That way I could tell if it is my computer, or a game problem.

I raise my hand. Exactly the same problem here, it occurs everywhere in the game but I too can't find a patern in it. Using Chrome.

 

I am using Foxfire and Adobe flash I am getting the same problem It is not your computer my friends are having same problem, started during Spring Cleaning

We really appreciate your intention but this is not the way our guidelines work We stick to one player / thread to make sure we assist everyone with this matter, and we would appreciate if we could continue the same way as it worked fine for many years . Thank you very much for your understanding on this matter .

We thank everyone for posting their details, but raising the hands only will not help - the issue has been reported to the Game Team and it is being looked into. Since this concerns many players, we will have an official announcement when it will be fixed, for sure. If we need more details, the Team will ask us specifically for details and we will ask for all your support.

For now, we just had a sync improving the game loading speed, so hopefully this helped a little as well.

Back to you, Doc425, are you experiencing this still on the tablet or have you managed to try it on the computer?

I am sorry about violating your guidelines. I just thought it might help you to see that I am not the only one having this problem. I will quietly accept my 20 lashes with a wet noodle and try not to do it again.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to try it on anything besides a tablet yet. I will have to borrow a computer from someone to do so. I haven't noticed yet this morning if the problem has improved. I will certainly let you know when my coffee soaks in and I will pay special attention to seeing if it has improved.

I am sorry you have not managed to try on a computer but hopefully you will get the chance at some point, it would be great to hear if that helps. I also hope today's improvement helped a little - perhaps not noticeable in the next hours when everybody will be breeding fast to take advantage of the short baby boom, but maybe later today.

Hi my dear Mods,

I don't know if these two problems are connected to the tool tip problem, or not, but I hate to start a new thread if they are, especially the first problem.

Problem 1. In the past whenever I hovered my tool tip over a buff, or craft in addition to telling me what it did it also stated the effective time of the item. For at least a week now the time has been missing both in my pantry and in the market. Once I activate a buff in my pop out screen it displays the effective time correctly. I'm not sure if this problem is isolated to me and my computers, or if everyone is experiencing it. I also wonder if it is connected to the lingering tool tip problem.

Problem 2. Periodically when I enter a field the field is blank. It just shows an empty green field. When this occurs it occurs in all areas of the mainland. If I move to another field it is also blank. I have to refresh the browser to get it to appear normally. I have tried all your recommended fixes, but the problems persist.

I feel like I am taking up all your time trying to fix my problems and I am truly sorry for that. You good people have enough to do without me monopolizing your time. Thank you for your patience and kind help. Have a good weekend.
