    Before bedtime I must suggest:
    Heidles as #1
    and Spotbox as #5.

Have no reasons other than I'm knackered and dying to go to bed. I'll give better and full reasons tomorrow.

@brooke ~ I am sure that I am missing some farmers! There is no way that we only have only 27 or 28 Americans on this game lol! And while I may not have you in the right slot, I'm pretty sure you are one of the 10!
See hateva!! I told you it would be soon that 4 MFs would be identified! But now even I am confuzzled... as I know pnp has excellent reasoning due to the many hours she spent in chat with folk like spotsbox... oh dear!! I feel like I am playing chess (without directions no less!) Also I am still not fully convinced that heidles is American... I haven't read enough of her posts to determine that (and her name reminds me distinctly of The Sound of Music!)
    xD;)

@sglick ~ Happy early birthday!! :D The Hobbit sounds like a very nice birthday present! You are right that I am not planning on going to the theatre (prices are outrageous!) But will it surprise you to know that I do love the Hobbit/LoR series?? I have always loved the medieval stuff! Plus it's such a great story of loyalty, adventure and friendship!

As for verbose, well, "Bose" is a type of expensive, very clear high-class, compact speaker / sound system. So verBose (very-Bose) must mean someone who is very clear, compact, and who produces great sounds! (Oh dear! This is sounding less and less like myself! (Now perhaps, dear sglick, you are subtly implying that you are indeed playing a MF role??!)
    o_O:D

On the other hand, if you just want a great "speaker" maybe I might fit... but perhaps you might also look at some of our other great speakers... teddy.bear tops the list for the longest post hands down! And in fairness Arrouquelas, Aluntino, and farmer_broke have also had some very long posts! Although I'm not sure of any of the four qualify for this contest! For one, teddy is top-mod and values her privacy ~ and it is simply not polite to try and unravel teddy bears!! :oops:o_O (Besides their stuffing falling out, one could also get banned from Farmerama!)

Arrouquelas and Aluntino are definitely not from the US. I'm not sure about farmer_broke: his igm on the matter of celebrating Thanksgiving was kinda vague. So maybe farmer_broke is our missing verbose farmer...!

But wait! That cannot be! I was sure that pnp is MF#6... Oh, I see, a bit of misdirection and confuzzlement on her part! Touche dear!
    xD

Hmmmm....let's see...now I am really confuzzled! I have some guesses but now am not sure of their order! I think #1 is BlazingBlades. She is 'on fire' for the Lord and has been a good witness of how he has worked in her life. I agree #7 is Banjoman with his hazardous service in the military (thank you). I am sticking with #9 is spots. Now...#6 I still think is CJ but she is trying to pin it on me so either she 'doth protest too much' or we are both wrong. Will have to think some more...

I do think Brooke is a MF here somewhere but not sure yet where she fits in. Maybe she is #6? The first comment sounds like her to be thankful for family and friends during life's tough times. I know she has some medical issues that are hard and caring loved ones make all the difference!

Now need to go back and reread the posts with my notepad and see if I can figure anyone else out...

Lol pnp!! I agree that there is a very strong case of misdirection going on here!! But I still think this particular description fits you completely:

Your normal posts are always clear and concise, on the old forum you mentioned that you are quite short and even wear children's sized shoes! Plus I do remember you saying you loved to sing (and I think the context was in a choir!) I love to sing too, but I do get mixed reviews... some love my singing - while others describe it more as me making a joyful noise instead of anything of great beauty lol! Then again, maybe it is me! I did sing in the college and church choir when I was younger...

Hey sglick ~ does that count as a covert guess for myself?? :D That is always the hardest part of MF... how do you guess yourself without giving yourself away?? (Thanks pnp! You are simply the best friend a gal could ever wish for!) {{hugs}} Although I will admit that I am going to continue to try and convince you that MF6 (you) is actually you...
    xD

I should really go back and review some folk on the forum and make some more accurate guesses... but it is so much simpler (and less time intensive!) this way lol!
    ;)

I know I promised you'all hints today, but all the ones that I come up with would make it way too easy. I will tell you that 2 of the unidentified MFs are real active and popular. 2 are active occasionally. 1 more than the other. RL keeps getting in their way. The last two, I admit that I am a stinker. I know them and love them, but they do not post very often, and 1 has never posted on the new forum. I could be wrong on this. I did a player search and came up empty, but they have 2 farms. I have not tried the 2nd farm yet.

Thanks for the hints sglick! I am random at how often I am on the forum (and soo behind on reading posts) so your hints do not help me very much. (Bummer!)  :pxD

Although I must admit I liked your last hint... I now have another farmer to add to my list, who I know who must be near dear to your heart: -Tigerlily- (Of course, you cannot help but love a farmer who chooses to name their farm after you own precious kitty!!) Now just to figure out which MF she is...
    :D

As for looking up players on the forum by name, I have noticed that the search by name function does not always work the first time you try it... so your incognito farmers may have more posts than you think!

There may be a tiny clue somewhere (in this thread?!?!) as to from whence I hail....I also feel as though playing chess, for the first time, without ever even having learned checkers. With my hands tied behind my back. Underwater.

The usual trimmings which mostly have been mentioned - stuffing, mashed potatoes & gravy, sweet potatoes or candied yams, green bean casserole, rolls, etc. With my family the only debate regarding preferences surround the Cranberry Sauce Decision. This is usually a 50/50 mix of those delighted to find what's on the table, and those whose heads shake and tongues cluck. Smooth or chunky? Fresh, canned, or boxed? Depends on whose hosting, as to whom will be pleased or disappointed. For my part, I don't really eat the stuff, so I find all of the very serious cranberry sauce debate really amusing. A friend's family is from the Southwest US, their cranberry sauce is made with jalapeno peppers!

Sglick, I came over here this a.m. to make a few guesses, but honestly, I am leaving it to the experts. Good gracious, the mystery is too intense for me! Ha ha! Your movie theater serving restaurant food sounds like fun! We could use one, it seems - near my house, there is a theater showing a Hobbit marathon - NINE hours, all the films together. It starts at 1 p.m. and is done at 10 p.m. My husband wants to go, I told him that he is on his own. Obviously. o_Oo_Oo_O

Heidels - Wild guesses are great and fun. Just pick a farmers name out of a hat then add an outrageous reason. That is all you have to do. Really, no thought is required. HeHeHe You have just as much of a chance as those who are logic.

Although, I do love the ones who are trying to use their memories and logic to figure things out.

I tried the one Farmer again. This person did make 1 post in September.

Suzee - Yes, she is my cat and I will gladly - sort of - clean up her messies. Right now she is sun bathing in the back yard. We have had a warm Thanksgiving weekend. It has been in the high 70's to low 80's - (24 to 27 C) everyday. Thanksgiving had to of been in the mid to upper 80's - 24C. It might have even been in the 90's - 33C.

Okay Suzee ~ I will help you with your fish->TygerLilly mission! You distract sglick while I slip this open fishtank chock full of fingerling fish into her bathroom and hide it behind the shower curtain! Then we all slip out and start singing to cover up the sounds of sglick's very hungry kitty! (I do believe I read at one time mention of TygerLilly going on a diet!) So I'm sure she will be quite happy with her bribe, I mean *cough, cough* supplemental nutrition! ;):inlove:

@pnp and heidels - you too Suzee - you have to help me sing!! ♫ The hills are alive with the sound of singing..;) :DLa, la, la la-la!! {{mumbles to self about needing to look up the words and switches to the other SoM song I can think of...}} ♫ A doe, a dear, a female dear, a ray - a drop of golden sun! o_O:oops::music:

@ heidels ~ I did see your post earlier on referencing Canadians and their Thanksgiving, but I wasn't sure where you lived. I took it to mean that you either live on the Canadian side or the American side of the border. So that means you live close to one side or the other and noticed the massive amounts of Canadians living further north of you going into America to shop! (Although now I think I will simplify it and simply "adopt" you as American and see where I can place you in the MF contest... hope you don't mind!)
    ;):)

As for guessing, just pick some random people and put silly reasons to why they might be a MF!

For instance, I think Suzee Rabbit must be MF8... I can also see her doing something like pouring all ingredients in the kitchen (minus the pickles) into a pan so her family could have something for dinner. As for a reason... it's because she now has purple hair! Yep! She was so noglastic of her beautiful walnut-stained hair that she ran to the dollar store and bought one of the tinsel packages, ran a few stitches in it on her sewing machine, attached it to her favorite "I love rabbits" hat, trimmed the ends into a chic bob, and once again her hair is now turning heads wherever she goes! (@Suzee ~ I sure hope you weren't drinking anything when reading this post! It takes a very special person to pull off purple and you totally did it!)

As for you heidels ~ I think you must be our mystery hardtack baker, which is MF10! (Suzee really wants to be you by the way because she has never tried hardtack, and sglick secretly wants to "borrow" your recipe so she has another alternative in her bakery that she can throw at people aside from those bread rolls!) My reasoning behind why you are MF10 is this... you live on the border of the states and Canada. Since Alaskans eat 98% of all hardtack produced (survival food) you have taken full advantage of this! First you tweaked your baking skills and now you are one of the major producers of hardtack!! Of course, you monitor the borders so you know when to best ship it northward through Canada! (Taxes there make it better to ship overland verses via plane, of course!) And being the ingenious business woman that you are, you charge a little extra for the hardtack with "extra flavor"!
    :D

Hi sglick! You posted just as I was about to! Do you like my singing?? Which category would you place it in?? Would you like to sing with me too?? :D {{starts singing the Sesame Street theme song}} ♪ Sunny days.. Sweeping the clouds away ♫

Hi everyone, hope you've all digested the Thanksgiving food, gone crazy on Black Friday and spent today admiring your bargains!

Me? I've gone over the clues and my notepad many times over the past couple of hours. Maybe not the best strategy, wild guesses are far more entertaining and often more correct, but I was really trying to think what I've learnt about my forum buddies after nearly 4 years. Not as much as I would like to think I've realized but I have a refined list:

Farmer #1: AnnT. Entertaining 35 people for Thanksgiving requires a big house and a big family, and I believe AnnT has both
    Farmer #2: pepsishot
    Farmer #3:
    Farmer #4:
Farmer #5: Suzee. The statements are written in a "Suzee-neat" way. I can't imagine Suzee liking crowds so she does her shopping on line. Oyster stuffing must be a Californian special as nobody else mentioned it. California=coast=oysters, or?
Farmer #6: I realize it can't be CJAT as she hasn't lived in her house for more than a year, give or take. Still thinking...
    Farmer #7: Banjo
Farmer #8: Steph2014. I know she loves to entertain, at least singing, so why not act in plays? I reckon she also works in Retail as she's never took part of Black Friday as a consumer. She's also a gooseberry girl like myself!
Farmer #9: spotsbox. "Goofy, silly and forgetful, with many Farmerama friends" Enjoys time with in-laws whilst making a "wild turkey".
It's only a hunch but worth trying :)
Farmer #10:Heidels. I know so little about you but I'm convinced you are one of them so I give you this position for no particular reason

Yipee! 5 MFs have been correctly identifies.

Hatzeva - Thanks for all your hard effort! Unfortunately, you only have 2 correct MF's in your list above. The next time you feel the need to do another review. I would go back and review what guesses were made right before I declared another MF was identified.

Me and TygerLilly are having an argument. She is going soft now that she has gorged on the fishyes that were mysterious left in our bath tub. She is in 7th heaven right now and feels we should give a clue about one of the MFs that does not post on a regular basis. We know that you know this person, but this person may not come to mind. I keep telling her that this hint will make it too easy. Someone will guess the MF right away. TygerLilly points out that just, because they know the username does not mean they will guess which MF is this farmer.

OK, TygerLilly has one this argument with her last point.

Here is the clue: She is my sunshine sister.

Oh sglick! I sure hope Suzee is able to decipher your clue better than I can! That or we need to go bug Brookeham some as I know she called you her "twisted sister" before... surely she must know who the "sunshine" sister is!
    xD

@hateva - I noticed you mentioned oyster stuffing for MF#5... wasn't it MF#4 who had oyster stuffing?? I wonder if sglick caught that or not... and if you correct it, will you have more than 2 farmers right!?

Also I love your guesses, but where are your silly/crazy reasons? ;)(That is one of the best parts of the game!)

I don't have time to do new guesses right now... I have set a goal of getting homework done early so I can make cookies with Jora later on in the week (she loves making cookies lol!) If I can get homework done early, that will free up Tuesday night for making and frosting the cookies! I do have to be careful so I don't eat too many (I have been doing really good with that lately!) but as they are to be handed out next Friday+weekend as part of my church's Living Christmas Story event, they won't be in the house long! (hehe)

I will put in one guess though... :)

I think Mystery Farmer 1 is AnnTAngel... She is a Christian gal so that makes sense to me! Here is the silliness... her son has taken over the Black Friday shopping! It's true! Now that he is a few years older, he calls mom before driving over to the stores and does a bit of "tenting" overnight for the great prices! Last year he brought home a turkey fryer, but she sent him back (with a stern reminder that she was making some important lifestyle changes and deep-fried turkey was simply not in the plans!) So, he gave it to his home economics teacher and their class did a school project in which he got an A+!

Wow, so much happened while I was in my turkey stupor. CJAT love that silliness. LOL I could just picture one of my sons shopping for me...that would just be too funny.
I would like to throw out another farmer bumblebee for #2... I know she has a new job that has been keeping her away from the forum (hence not many post in the new forum) and she's the only other person who ... (dot, dot, dot's) as much as me.

Hi Ann!! {{hugs}} So glad you enjoy my silliness! (I sometimes wonder if it is a bit over the top; my hubby says that sometimes I'm a bit too silly (thus why I love working with preschoolers!) Besides, there is a method to my madness... silliness has the power to bring sunshine into the soul!) :D

As for your (dot, dot, dot) above, is the correct translation (loves the Lord) or perhaps (makes pie crust) or even (learns life lessons)?? (In which case are you confirming that you are MF#1???) I don't know morse code, so I hope I came somewhat close!

I don't know your bumblebee farmer, but speaking of sunshine... I think that I managed to track down sglick's sunshine sister!! Her name is Little Miss Sunshine and she's right here in this post!! (She was visiting Mr. Grumpy, who by the way appears to still be an unnamed Mystery Farmer!)

Anyway, now it's time to just figure out which mystery farmer she is! I think she must be one that burnt the turkey... due to her warm, sunny nature, the turkey simply cooked faster than she planned! So that would mean she is MF #2 or MF#9... hmmm but I already think #9 is spotsbox per pnp's reasoning. That means MF#2 has another contender!!
(I am only serious in the fact that perhaps sglick's sunshine sister is MF#2, not knowing what her name really is) xD

  18. spotsbox

    spotsbox Forum Demigod

Oh wow, I am so bad at guessing, I have no clue, so I'm going to just make things up:D.

I think MF #5 is tlcmom. Shopaholic that she is, she's mellowed with time, and realizes that one can satisfy the bargain hunting urge by shopping online. Also, after the year of the epic plastic meltdown (credit card melted from being constantly run thru scanners:p), she decided it was much easier on her card to pay online. I also know she has a large extended family who are total foodies, so that adds to my thought that 5 is her. I almost guessed her as #4 because of the seafood connection, but I'll stick with 5.

Let's see, who else? Hmmm...how about #8 is crzyjoyce. Shelling all those nuts made her the crzy woman she is today xD, and gave her plenty of time to refine her jester routine for the delight of farmers near and far. To this day pickles and marshmallows is one of her favorite treats.

#7 seems obvious to me to be Banjo, it just sounds so like him. I love his "catastrophe", what a wonderful way to spend the day, actually enjoying each others' company without the usual distractions!:)

My guess for MF #1 is pnp. Her awesome Ninja powers saved the day from the attack of the nefarious Nintendo nabbers, and she was awarded a Citizens's Medal of Honor from the store security team for helping capture #2 on the mall's Most Wanted list;). Also, I know she has a son...I think :music:.

I'll go with CJ as #3. Every year she has an olive finger puppet show for the kids, a favorite and much anticipated part of the holiday celebration. She's never told anyone, but the pheasant came to be part of Thanksgiving one year when she accidentally brought about its demise by choking it on a black olive (pheasants love Russian olives, and the poor bird thought it was the biggest Russian olive he'd ever seen when she gave it to him ). After the Heimlich failed to revive him, the decision was made that his sacrifice would not be in vain, and they made him a guest of honor at the dinner.:D

Good guessing everyone, loving the great answers!

Solo - I am glad you have been having fun reading this game; after all, that is the purpose of this game is to have FUN!

7 MF's have been identified correctly. Sadly, everything CJAT said in her last post is wrong. Sorry :oops:xD;)

Remember, how I felt when I could not figure out that a baby goat is a kid. You might feel that way about my Sunshine Sister. She has been playing for about 4 years. I know you all have read her posts. She is quitter than most. I just check and she has been playing longer than CJAT, but not as long as CrzyJ and me.

Then there is the farmer who has only posted 1 time on the new forum. She was my only Chickadee that I kept in contact with and made her my neighbor. She reminds of a children's nursery rhyme combined with a female from King Arthur's court.

The 3rd unidentified farmer has become fairly active of late since things in her life have begun to improve for her. I am so happy that she is on the other side of some of her struggles.
