Need Information Please

I have recently unlocked both Mainland and Baha Menageries. Now I am looking at doing the upgrades. I have 18 blueprints already (great). I have 10 wooden mallets so far (great). I am short on boards (these are common drop items so not worried, will just need a forest of them).

The last item is where I am looking for help. Powerdrills. I have 4 already (and 20 to go).

I know they are dropped only by the Menagerie itself (according to the FAQ). So what I am trying to find out is info on the drop rates.

Is it totally random?

Dependant on how full the menagerie is (1 vs 4 stables inside)?

Dependant on what type of critter inside?

Is it sort of like crops where the longer the it takes to raise the critter or crops the better the drop rate? Am I better off loading it with chickens and just cycling (if it is just random this makes more sense ), or putting in long time critters (if the drop rate is like other crops and the longer the time the better the drop chance)?

Any help concerning this is appreciated.

I advise to put so many stables that fit in there, while it takes the same space if you have one or 8 stables there. I have some rare stables with others, which have same time or shorter than that one I need.

Powerdrills drop from Menagerie, Manufactory and Arboretum. I believe they drop better from long coloured stables and workshops.

 

It does seem to be better with longer and/or colored upgrades. Definitely have it full, and upgrade as you go. If you need Valentine's Pots to speed up the animal growth, just IGM me and I'll be happy to send I think for me, the time from "I will NEVER get this done" to "wow, look at all those extra power drills" was a couple of weeks.

 

If people keep buying my salamanders I'll be good.
