New Baby reindeer to my herd

I am hoping this is where I can introduce my new baby reindeer to my real life herd... If not mods, please delete... Just so excited with my new baby... Still wild yet but give me a few weeks and she'll be as tame as my older herd!!

Thank you so much for sharing the photo of your new baby reindeer! She is very sweet looking. How old is she? Did you name her? What does the rest of the herd think of her? Keep us posted with more pictures as she grows.

She's only 8 months old and still very wild but only got her today... So excited. No name yet, I am looking for name suggestions on their FB page but so far the top two suggestions that I like are Talvi (which is Goddess of Winter) or Suklaa (meaning chocolate)... both Finnish Russian names as she was born on the Finnish/Russian border. My older herd are Boris, Hugo, Misha, Katya (and the one slip from the Russian) Twiglett! Any suggestions are welcome... never name before I know them but once they are home need a name within a few days...

If I am not breaking any forum rules, would love to post pictures of the rest of the r/l herd... They are so cute.

She's settling in well and the others are accepting her, as long as she remembers her place!

We have also received name suggestions of Talvi (meaning winter), Suklaa (meaning chocolate) and Anastasia (Ana). Still not sure yet. Just heading out into the snow to spend a few hours with her to get her used to me. She's still very shy and will take several weeks to get her to trust me.

Thank you so much for sharing - she (and the rest of the herd) is just gorgeous. I tried a little translation but couldn't come up with anything Russian but Sopo Poro means cute reindeer!

 

Oh I am so awful at finding my way around the forum, only just found my r/l reindeer post. The baby I purchased is now called Ana (Anastasia).
But my exciting news is that I have seen belly kicks in 2 of my 3 reindeer "cows". So my Avatar may change in May when the new babies are due - not sure of the colours yet as the calves vary from white to the more normal brown but rather hoping for another pale grey with a white spotty nose... but unfortunately I can't order the colours...

I can't do the picture... and I see Neon did it for me last time... thank you Neon... Tried reducing and copying and pasting but nothing working. Anyone watching that can tell me how to put the photo in post... Sorry Techno Numpty here just do my R/L animals and play online!! Do I do it through photo bucket or something but then only a link, not the real picture... Any help to this techno numpty would be greatly appreciated.

About the forum: Although it might be a bit difficult to navigate in the beginning, it has some great features. Here is a small guide to inserting a picture

1. The picture has to be on the internet, if it is not you have to upload it to some picture hosting service like photobucket
2. Get the picture URL
   • If your picture is somewhere on the internet, right click it and choose "Copy picture URL" or something very similar (I don't know what exactly it says in English)
     
     
     
   • If you have it on photobucket, you can also get the URL by clicking there
     
3. Click the image button
   
4. Paste the URL and click "Insert"
   
   
   
5. To center the picture, click "Align center"
