Lottidah. I have thought of that, usually the double fencing is only used by people with reindeer that aren't tame.. My lot, love attention and the "well behaved" children get so much from stroking Santa's reindeer... but I may have to change what I do... Who knows.. stress time of year..
Boris is "out of service" pro temp until I can rebuild his confidence with nice children.. He was my stalwart..
Lexi is now loving attention (this techno numpty can't share video yet) just a goofy photo of her munching lichen for now...

Could you use the two fence method to limit the number of children allowed to pet at one time? :)

That is such a shame, all the love you show your reindeer and the love and trust they give back, destroyed by a child that should not have been with in 20ft of any animal! Really makes me mad!
I really hope Boris in time can put it all behind him and can go out and get the love and attention from caring people who just want to stroke and love your reindeer!
xD That is some silly picture of Lexi!:inlove:

Today we've been out and about with Mischa and Katya...
Children were absolutely wonderful today but left Boris at home as it was going to be a busy day and wasn't sure if it would be too much for him... But in hindsight I think he would have been fine...
He stayed home and was quite happy to do a promotional video... Quite happy if any want to share.. :)

I am very happy that the children were well behaved today!:D That is a cute video of Boris and glad he had a little rest today!:inlove: Hopefully the rest of the season will go smoothly for you and the reindeer!;)

So wiped out... can't give full updates... Just a pic of today's visit to a large Mental Health unit... very rewarding (maybe only 95% really came on board but that was way more than expected) So a good day, for me tiring as had to think reindeer and patients too... but we did it.. :)

I bet it is more mentally draining, as you need to keep one step ahead of any given situation!:wuerg:
And I just :inlove::inlove::inlove: how very festive your reindeer look! ;) Very nice!!

Oh don't make us out to be saints - we do get paid (mostly) for bringing the "Spirit of Christmas" into peoples lives!

I think Boris is now eager to meet his adoring public again.
Darkness was falling rapidly, so I decided not to drop the ramp to sort their trailer, as if I do, it takes forever as they join me in there.. My plan I thought was brilliant, I decided to just use the jockey door as it isn't designed for animals to use, just humans... Boris disagreed and jumped in. I dare anyone to say my reindeer don't like road trips! :)

haha...that will teach you to leave Boring behind again. :D:music::inlove: I admire all that you do with your reindeer and we all appreciate how much you have allowed us to join your lives. I've learned so much about the joys and work of raising reindeer from your postings. I look forward to this thread and would miss it dearly if it wasn't allowed or you didn't keep it going. Of course you would charge for some of your visits. You need to support these lovely animals to continue on.

Just beware folks... After Christmas I will start belly gazing (for who has a calf on board) way to early...
In fact I am already stressing.... haven't shared YET!!!
6 girls, guessing Katya is unlikely to be in calf as she only spent a few days with another bull, on another farm, before I stressed that I wasn't happy with their husbandry.. So for her unlikely...
The show (girl) team have been withdrawn from "rutting paddock" and every couple of weeks my rutting bull Hector is going manic... so somebody is coming in season... maybe Katya or Mischa piddled last week and I saw Boris (castrate) getting very excited and doing the full silly lip lift...
So does that mean at most 4 expected??? Who knows will be watching closely from January onwards... :(

heeheehee! Karen, you need to take some deep breathes and get through the Christmas season!xD
Then on to belly watching.;) So is Hector by himself right now or is, and I forget her name, the one from the other farm that was picking on all those useless boys still with him? It will be exciting to see
how well Hector has done his first time in rut!:p
edit by me :) Elsa is her name lol I blocked it out because of Frozen!xDxD

Don't blame you Sanddollar - what is even worse Hector has 2 girls keeping him company, Elsa (named after the lioness in Born Free) and Ana (Anastasia) - nothing to do with the movie that haunts many of our bookings, just unfortunate!!! :(

I opened the human entrance of trailer again today to try to get a video of Boris jumping in but the girls beat him to it and no room left for him! Now tell me these reindeer don't like their outings!
