Oh, I do agree with the rest here - he is a handsome boy!

That's a very good point, Sweet_Cassi....it looks like they have taken good care of their animals!

He's mature so I guess the next thing to consider is how much is that going to mix up your herd verses a young male you can bring up trained. I'm assuming this guy is not train like yours. Good Luck with this decision.

Lottidah, that's a question I have asked but as they have avoided answering that one, so I am guessing he may be a "challenge".
The place he is from has to have a zoo license as they keep many species of exotics, they are more into commercial filming etc. With a zoo you need very high fencing etc.

Had to share this picture of Hector today - I love it but couldn't find a good caption...

She can't blame her waistline on pregnancy as embryo's are too tiny at this time of year. Reindeer usually loose weight during Winter but not Mischa - I can't believe she was so tiny wee and skinny when I purchased her - as she has become what you call a "good doer" or fat, bless her - never a worry in reindeer!!! :)

Mischa is a well fed beautiful lady in waiting! ;)

Wow, Thor and Loki look great! :) Nice to see them still together and playing, but I am sure at some point they will be separated when the next rut begins! Thanks to you and their owners for sharing this up date with us all!:inlove:

    8) Could Mischa be having twins? Or triplets?? (Do reindeer have triplets??):music:o_O

She's probably just a happy, healthy beautiful reindeer - a product of the great care her 'mommy' gives her!!:music::D

Thanks to all for the great update on Thor and Loki!! They have certainly grown.....and now I have forgotten which is which! Lol Which one is the biggest?
So good to see them having fun and still being together!

Sand - they will stay together as they are both to have the snip (be castrated) in the next few months, their new owners only keep castrates.
Farmlily - Loki has slightly smaller antlers and he is the one that comes up to the camera.
Triplets, I'm not sure. One owner of a large herd, in Alaska, wondered if one of her girls had triplets this year as she found 2 dead and one live but small baby laying within a few yards of each other but unfortunately no DNA was taken. Remaining calf also died as do twins unfortunately. I always wish for healthy singletons.

Boris had a go at his own hairstyle but nowhere near as impressive as Hector's was.

BoHoKaren, that is nice that the boys will be together! :) xDxD Boris is too cute! But Hector did the original and was the best lol!
As for twins and triplets, do reindeer, like cows only know to feed one baby and the others are left to die?
On a cattle ranch they go out to find the twins and take the second one back to baby area and bottle feed it for months just like the mother would have done. They make sure one is feeding ok and take the others to bottle feed! :) Some do die as they were not very strong to begin with! :(

Sand - luckily I have never had to deal with twins as in reindeer, I have never heard that even one survives they both usually die within hours of birth... :(
