New Baby reindeer to my herd

Oh poor babies, that must be very traumatic for the mother as well as the babies! And if the humans are like you (and I am sure most are not) I am sure they are beside themselves with worry! Just natures
way of keeping strong, healthy herds!

 

So sad to hear what happens to multiple births. In that case, I hope Mischa is just 'plump'!!

Procrastination is my middle name at the moment....
Tax returns have to be done by the end of the month but instead I made new base for crush/squeeze/chute, whatever you want to call the 2 mattress restrainer, for the couple of girl that don't like needles.
I have a feeling it's my way of putting off my tax returns - by next week I'll be painting the grass, hunting snails or even weaving willow!!!

Nothing interesting to post as I am trying to do Tax Returns... fortunately they where interrupted by my mechanic having parts for "Santa's Sleigh".

Videos are just Boris and Freya finding a gate was open to a different paddock, rain stopped play before the others joined in.
Running out of excuses for those tax returns!!!

 

Freya is certainly a happy flolicking little girl! She looks so happy & healthy! All due to your loving and expert care! Thanks for the video's and pic's!!!

 

Taxes boring? Never! Though I haven't posted in this thread in a while, I do still enjoy reading all the posts and seeing the pictures and videos.

Although Lexi is far taller than Freya (and only 7 days older), Freya is a little butter ball and carrying more weight.

Sorry nothing really interesting as I have started plugging away at my tax returns but the good news is that "Santa's Sleigh" has now been fixed AGAIN - new alternator and two new batteries this time, a little pricey but she is now running well, so worth every penny.

I think so too. Boris is their go to babysitter and he was Freya's partner on her first outing. Big Brother Protector.
With Lexi gone so long with her mom, Freya had big Boris all to herself. I bet Boris has a special feeling for Freya, too.
He seems to really enjoy frolicking wit her.

We've finally had our long promised snow but it didn't last long. Can't wait for some really deep snow to take some great photos (might be waiting several years though!)

Tax returns submitted, to be honest there wasn't that much left to do as I had been working on them throughout the year, it was just the thought of HAVING to finish them!

Now to vitamin drench and worming injections for whole herd. Injections, I have to wait till their coats are dry or the likelihood of abscesses is increased.
Hector's antler's will also, probably, have to be sawed off, but I can do that with him just tethered, as he still hasn't dropped and I want to get herd back together.
Elsa, Twiglet & Ana will have to be driven into chute for their injections and Elsa's head collar change and Ana's hoof trim. I am hoping to do that just with hubby's assistance as last time I called others in to help it was a disaster. When people are unsure/giving off wrong vibes the reindeer know and make the most of it - they are quite intelligent animals and know where the weak links are.
