Well just like boys to want to hang onto things!xD I think Lexi has such pretty markings on her face!
I did kind of think that the babies with their mouths open was either a breathing thing, or a getting rid of heat from running so much thing!:p lol But it does make them look like they are laughing!;)xD
Fingers crossed on the tummy twitches!

I'm so excited (I don't like Winter despite having reindeer). Maybe that's why I have them, to get me through the bleak months?
But there are real signs of Spring coming.
We have had some lovely sunny days, the grass, trees and early flowers are really trying here in the UK. I am trying to ignore weather forecasts for the weather turning colder again but for now, a cheery outlook.... :)

I'll be on serious belly watch soon... :) Spring, to me means new babies, even though I have to wait till May!!! Be prepared to be bored with belly and udder watch. Heehee!!! Excited!

You have no idea how up lifting it is for me to see green grass, spring flowers and ***** willows! How wonderful!:inlove: Where I live the past 9 days brought 5 snow storms and 31/2 feet of snow!:wuerg: The
good news is the sun is lasting longer and melting is going on! Yay for tummy watching...bring it on!;)

Oh Sand... blowing warm winds your way :)... :( Love the **** willows... I had the same problem... I wondered about calling them catkins but then someone may say hazel has catkins.... willow buds are.. p*ssy willow, real name for willow flowers.
Spring IS coming... We have frosts again scheduled - but for today I am ignoring forecasts!! :) SPRING IS HERE! :)

Well I never thought about them being x rated! lol but Yes, here in the North East I have grown up calling them
p*ssy willows because they were soft like kitty cats! And that is what our parents called them. I don't really know what the botanical name would be as they grow more in the woods, swamps and bogs! hehehe must be a cultural thing!;) Yay for Spring!

Today's newsflash. Hector has dropped the first of his antler "stumps" that I had sawed off - great news as it means he will start to grow his new ones soon and my backside will get less bruises! Once his new ones start growing they will be tender, so he won't want to use them to "guide" me to the feed troughs.

A video of today - I think Lexi is trying to knit.. Freya is trying to photobomb and Hector is using the opportunity to chew my shoulder. Cameos from Lotte and Twiglet.

Knit one purl two, Lexi. :music: I laughed so hard, my granddaughter woke and we laughed together. Thank you Karen.
Ariah and I are looking forward to belly watching, and any pictures/videos you are able to share! ;)

Karen, your phone camera is so clear. You should try using it on the cake event.

So... you haven't been told. So... no belly kick videos before 24th March. :( But, you haven't been told!! ;)
Have a Happy Birthday! :D (Wish it could come sooner this year. They do get you the coolest stuff though. Like the picnic table.)

End of March is generally the first time I can really see big enough kicks to film and my phone is pretty good on close up videos anyway so don't worry I am all fixed to bore you to tears.. :)
Hector is completely naked today having dropped his second antler stub overnight. A bit of blood from this one but nothing to worry about. (Boris' will be worse when he drops as the base is far bigger).

In the UK we have storm "Doris" raging and it's delivered Boris & the babies a present for their flight training - a launch pad... Heehee.
    It's a bit windy here!
Thank goodness no real damage yet.

Oh my goodness a flying trampoline!xD Good thing no one or any of the herd got hurt!
You really do seem to have wonderful In-laws! :) Poor Hectors antler hole looks sore! And Boris's will be bigger, those poor guys! Well I hope your wind storm leaves real soon, but I need to "Thank You" for sending the warm wind my way!:inlove: Today it is 52o and sunny! Lots of melting going on!xD
But you can keep your wind storm ok?!;)

I am glad that no one got hurt with that flying trampoline. Storm "Doris" has caused quite a lot of damage where I live. Poor Hector being completely "naked" he does look a bit sad bless him! I hope that Boris doesn't have too much trouble when he drops his antlers.

Having so much fun at the moment. Have posted on my personal FB page..
"Well, we've brought the cot, just need to assemble it now???" and the picture.

To be honest I'm a little late for my own and no kids that will have grandchildren... All friends are going ditsy to find out why!!!
Once painted it will make a cracking hay manger...and my close friends will guess that it's for something practical!! Heehee

Wow! I just love this thread - so much going on!! And the comments are so great!
Have to join the chorus in thanks for the Spring preview....it is my favorite season, I guess because it is soooo uplifting to see new life and color and beauty and smell the fresh scents again!:inlove::inlove::inlove:

I was wondering, re: Lexi...does it start to itch at the base of their antlers when it is time to lose them?? How practical of nature, if it is. It surely does look as if she's trying to scratch.....errrrr...I mean s-t-i-t-c-h one, pearl - well, (hahaha!!!) you know......teeheehee!!xD

Lily, I'm not sure that they itch, but to be honest I don't know... All the time they are in "hard" antler they rattle them in bushes/trees and in Hector's case... my backside! Once they start growing antlers again (so soft and tender) so they don't touch anything with them. But they do like to scratch all year but often just hooves...
In the meantime I've started to convert my acquired cot (crib) into a hay manger.

Wow that crib makes the perfect hay manger, someone is VERY creative!;) Great photos, it looks like Freya is just liking the camera too..she is so cute! Great action photo of Boris and Elsa, I just know that in time and with you to guide her, that she too will come around and be a kinder, gentler Elsa!
Is that Lilaclady who might come visit? What fun that would be!! I am very jealous but I would be so excited for her!;)
