New Baby reindeer to my herd

Karen, I think Mischa and Katya think you are one of them...just a little different! So they let you hang around with them! after all you ARE the reindeer whisperer!

Beautiful video of mum and baby. He has such lovely markings, will he keep them or will they fade as he gets older. Sanddollar I agree with you that the reindeer probably think that Karen is one of them. I'll bet not many people have heard of the wonderful breed of reindeer called BoHoKaren!

Now you know I have "lost the plot" when I say he has such pretty feet too BUT he has!
He's doing really well, a little too well for Mischa's liking as he keeps trotting to investigate the other reindeer while she is trying to drive them away... He is making life very difficult for her. Definitely taking after his father as being very forward.

Not many photo's today - I should be celebrating this healthy lad but I had a very bad morning. Lotte went into labour 3-4 weeks early, this morning - it was an albino girl (the first pure white I have ever had) but she was still born. Not up to talking about the birth as yet, maybe once I have some more happy news but for now even hard to smile at this bouncing boy...

My boy has finally got a name... I have called him Freddy in honour of the best Stallion I have ever met, a purebred Andulusian Stallion a perfect gentleman (was ridden daily by a small female) but a stallion through and through, who passed away a couple of days ago (I just needed to make sure it wouldn't upset his owner, my friend but she is delighted)) This video was only last week just days before he died... I hope one da my Freddy can walk in these big shoes.

So sad to hear about Lotte and the loss of her baby. Is Lotte o.k.? (And you, as well??)

 

Little Freddy is already causing his mother stress.

He was playing under the trailer while Mischa ran around grunting with worry. Neither of us could get him out until he was ready and then I still had to pick him out of that spot.

 

He's taking after his daddy. That's for sure.

Oh my, Mischa is going to have a time keeping him in line! Freddy seems to have a mind of his own already! That is a cute picture caption "Hey mum, look where I am!"

 

Hide and Seek combined with Tag! Reindeer Style It is going to be so much fun watching him grow and all the wonderful things he will learn

 

It seems as if he is playing hide and seek. Absolutely adorable little guy.

He just needs to learn how to "head butt"! Then he will be "little monster" #2!
