Well then, it must NOT have been meant to be! Yup, sounds like a "come on" to me! But she is a cutie
though, and I too agree with Sweet Cassiopia, that you DO have your plate full at all times!:p But Karen, you know that too!;)xD

That's too bad. Why do people have to be like that, I'll never know. Glad you found out before you drove there. I guess they could have waited till you got there and then told you. You have enough so don't be sad. It wasn't meant to be.

Wanted to share a "funny" with you... Luckily not my problem but a friends rutting bull.
There are girls in a neighbouring paddock and he has got stuck!!! Luckily I think she can manoeuvre his antlers free without risking "life and limb" from the safe side of fence!!! :)

I do believe that is going to take some very thoughtful planning!:p I hope it was all worth it for that bull! lol At least he can stand there and think "If only I could get to the other side!":music:xD

Oh sorry Lottidah, nothing to worry about - REINDEER are all well, even Frodo, although he seems to have stopped putting weight on :(, as he is getting more hormonal (this was expected) but in himself he seems to be very happy. He's challenging castrate Boris through the fence & worrying about the girls that aren't with him but taking little interest with the two young girls with him.
It's just a bit manic here for me, with trying to move/organise my elderly Aunt & Uncle's move. They are here now but a lifetimes worth of boxes, washing machine not working after move... you name it, requests for Christmas event quotes, even Christmas Day which I have turned down, as we need "down time! (and even a Charity filming but it was 6 hours travelling away plus 4 hours filming and laws re animal filming vet has to be in attendance at all times - no way I could do that but just another thing to consider).
Also as a funny, if I did contemplate Boris becoming a "Film Star" I would have needed vet on the case very quickly to source testosterone to encourage him to strip his velvet as filming is next week. Hormones for animals are no longer available so vet would need to go through human sex change drugs to bolster Boris need to strip his velvet... Boris, being a castrate has started to make a mess of his antler stripping but his hormones aren't high enough to make him get on with the job at hand!

AND Storm and Freddy will be going on their long journey to their new homes on Saturday, to join Thor and Loki. The Jones' arrive Friday evening after an 11 hour journey and my boys go on Saturday morning but in the meantime I want to separate from mother's (means a paddock change for them - I have scrubbed out the drinkers and cleaned field shelter where they need to move to, just new straw to add tomorrow), weigh, worm, vitamin drench - Optimum injection time is Thursday but can't inject if coats wet, so fingers crossed for no rain! In the mean time I have my day book complete with all herd updates but I haven't typed it up yet. I know the Jones wouldn't even ask to see but I prefer babies to go to their new homes with their gull history. :)

Sorry about above but may explain why I have been lax in posting... and the only picture I have to share is today's update of my reserved Baby Bull for next year "Gandalf" - keep your fingers crossed.. It's so strange, I haven't posted a recent photo of Freddy and they change so quickly but if you covered face Freddy & Gandalf are almost identical.. :)

Will be thinking of you and "holding your hand" when Freddy and Storm leave to go to their new home on Saturday. I know that they will be well loved and cared for but we will miss them.

I am very happy Storm and Freddy are going to such a great home and maybe we will even get the odd picture now and then! And Yes just like Lilaclady said "We" will be thinking of you and doing a virtual hand holding and maybe even a hug or two if needed!;)
I do hope Gandalf does make it to your farm as he is a very handsome young male and I do believe your girls will be very impressed with him! Poor Frodo that is some competition!

You have such a full calendar right now! o_O I will also be thinking of you as you say goodbye to Storm and Freddy.
Sending extra blessings your way with the many changes, decisions and work you must do.

    Trying harder for you today.
Little Belle is definitely challenged on the antler front. She does have two but second hidden in her hair - I think her growth tip must have been damaged early in the growth season (not that I'm blaming Elsa again with her handy hooves!) Caught Elsa during the change of paddocks pounding Belle with her front hooves... Elsa is a bit of a challenge BUT then again she won't ever let a fox take her tiny baby - she's the perfect mother (for her calf!!)!

Have separated Storm and Freddy from their mothers' today but left them in with the two other babies and Katya and Twiglet so that it's a gentle process. Freddy didn't notice all day but Storm "honked" a little at first but soon settled (his mother was delighted for a little space)!

Belle is still adorable!!!:inlove: What a great photo of her! We are definitely going to miss Storm & Freddy. They are both such handsome boys! I'm glad the seperation wasn't too difficult for them. Mommies can always use a break from babies....but will they miss them once they are gone? I know they are going to a wonderful new home....but I'm sure it's going to be very hard on you to see them go.

Belle is such a beautiful little girl. Am glad that Freddy and Storm were not too upset about being separated from their mums. I am sure that Katya and Twiglet will "explain" things to them so that they are prepared for their new adventures!

As far as Freddy is concerned... he has his back pack and he's off on his gap year - not even a backward glance!!! :)

I sat down (in a large paddock) to take photos of the herd at eye level... Katya decided she would join me. When it's a 2 acre paddock, it's not just a coincidence! :) Her head and shoulders were within 18 inches... :) And she's a Wild Import! NOT anymore - she's a cuddles bunny! :)
