So the herd is not fond of pink?! Must have been the wrong shade!

We've got the snow back with very cold winds. The reindeer are happy



but a robin doesn't like the weather and has taken up residence in the field shelter - it doesn't mind me about and uses reindeer as perches when they come in to feed!

 

OMG Karen, those are the best pictures! I am sure you are not thrilled with the cold and the snow but the pictures are beautiful and I love that robin!

 

Love the pictures and the little robin. He obviously knows the best place to be in this weather. You know what they say if a robin comes to you!

 

The world feels more peaceful to me when snow is falling.
Maybe the reindeer feel that way, too. As long as the Pink Shirt stays home!??!!

 

Such great photos - the second one would make a lovely Christmas card!

How nice the robin knows a safe place to shelter! Lovely it wasn't fearful of you or the reindeer.

 

Still waiting for Spring which we thought was coming last week (buds in the hedgerows) BUT!!

We have snow still.

I love seeing your babies in snow but I will wish and hope for a swift change in the weather!

 

Karen, is that Frodo in the bottom picture? Looks like he still has velvet, albeit shredded, on his
antlers! Looks like he just might make it to see and feel Spring after all!

 

Who is that sweet face on the left of Frodo? I too wish the snow melts soon and Spring arrives shortly!

 

No that's baby Tigga... Female babies are dodgy about stripping velvet (hormones). Frodo stripped his a few months ago but I too am starting to feel slightly more positive that Frodo will get through Winter and survive long term. He still looks dreadful BUT as reindeer metabolism does not gain weight in Winter, I have got him through 5 months, which vet didn't think he would... so not long to go before I can uncross fingers and toes.
Will take a photo tomorrow and share with Lilac so that I can share on here.
Lilaclady is a star for hosting pictures for me...

Love seeing your reindeer enjoying the snow .... but I'd love to see a picture of the reindeer at Yathanbank. Judging by what we've got here, the herd there must be ecstatic lol. Wonder if Storm's colouring caused them some headaches in the snow.

 

Sorry folks I forgot to take photo of Frodo today but for BLZbub a picture sent to me of Thor (Mischa son 2016) from Ythanbank, where 4 of my baby boys now live, just before the snow hit Scotland - snoozing in the sunshine... Sorry they haven't shared recent pictures of Freddie and Storm but I will ask. )

 

Oh wow, Thor is magnificent! And beautiful too! Thanks so much for sharing his picture with us and thanks to Ythanbank for the wonderful care your boys are getting! Yes I do understand they are their babies now!

 

Thor looks so peaceful napping in the sun!!! It does look like they are taking great care of your babies! Yes!! I would love to see a pic of Freddie and Storm!
