New Baby reindeer to my herd

Gandalf lost his second antler today... I think I have paced every inch of his current paddock BUT can I find it, no!!! He's hidden it well.

 

What a sweet face!! Gandalf is definitely talking to you again.

 

Aw, I think we may have a new baby girl joining our herd on Monday.
Apparently she hasn't a name yet as her owner only names once they start training. It will be easier finding a name once she is with us for a couple of days - they tend to "walk into" their names but any suggestions would be great, in case I get stuck.

 

Wow Karen, what a beautiful, bright-eyed baby girl!!! I have no name ideas, but am sure you will know very soon.

What a pretty young girl, like Joan I have no ideas for a name but I am sure you will think of a lovely one for her. Gandalf is probably laughing at you and hidden his antler so that you can't find it. Probably thinks he is getting his own back after you gave him that horrible needle. Either that or he is getting ready for the Easter egg hunt.

 

A lovely young lady indeed!

Edit: Oh, I just thought of a name suggestion. Perhaps in keeping with Frodo and Gandalf - how about Freda? Morwen's daughter from Lord of the Rings trilogy.

 

Lilaclady, that is what I thought also that Gandalf is taking a page from the Easter Bunny and hiding his antler for Karen to find!

ooh how exciting!!! A new wittle girl coming to your reindeer farm!!! I'm sure you will come up with a wonderful name.

 

She's here. I have separated the babies and put them in with her so that there is less bullying (Gandalf went straight in with the herd but then the boys cope better with change).

She has settled quite well, a little stressed, but nowhere near as bad as Tigga has been leaving her mother, even though Tig is only a field away from Mom and with the playmates she knows!

She looks a very pretty little girl, I hope she settles in well with the others and they don't bully her too much!

Looks like the new girl has bed hair lol. when I saw the first picture of her, I thought of Rosie Cotton (from LotR) or Eowyn, but looking at her in the second picture ... all I could think was ... she's a wee poppet. But I'm sure you come up with a much more appropriate name after you've had time to know her a bit. Another thought, as she arrived at Easter, how about Bunny

 

Hi Karen, well I was thinking (scary in its self) since you have a Gandalf and a Frodo (lord of the Rings) I looked up some female elves names. There were not that many but here they are
1 Galadriel
2 Luthien
3 Tauriel
4 Arwen
I am not sure if any of them fit your little girl!

 

Sorry folks I have gone with Ria... for no particular reason/link... It just seemed to fit her, don't know why??

Edit. Lottidah, she will be a year old in May.
