Nieghbor gifting

I just received a kind and generous gift of 1 carrot-apple chutney from a fabulous new neighbor. At some time I would like to return this generosity by gifting back, but don't know how to gift these sorts of items.

What types of items, other than the ordinary daily neighbor gifts, can be given? How is this done?

Craft products can be gifted from the individual craft buildings in the Artisan's Village. They can be gifted from your pantry shelf in your barn inventory.

I am startled by that answer, and find it hard to believe that I have been playing this game for several years and could not remember. I guess it's good to be reminded by asking, and maybe help others in the game who did not know or remember either. Thank you so much for your time and answer. Please close now, if you wish.
