Not allowed to make last deposit

I was not allowed to make my final deposit on the Chestnut event. The clock was still up but I was not allowed to make the final deposit.

The Chestnut event has ended 26 minutes ago, 5 minutes prior to your post. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do, you should never wait until the last moment to make the donations You can try to contact our Customer Care Team by filling in this form, and hopefully they will be able to assist you, but I cannot guarantee a positive response, since the event was on for 8 days and the end time was announced clearly, I am sorry.

Thanks. I know it was "last minute" but I haven't had this trouble before. Unfortunately, I also broke my rule of not turning in other items until I have the event crops/event drops turned in. I had already turned in the breeding animals required. OUCH! I'll never do that again.
