Oat Bread

i need some clarification for oat bread.
25% more profit/harvest? profit and harvest mean the same thing? is it 25% more when i harvest, 2x2- instead of getting 5 i will get 6 or 6.25? for 1x1- will get back 2.25? how much wheat will i get back for planting 1x1 with buffs oat bread and cac together? is it 5?
does the game round off decimals like i have seen in the past or not even count the 0.25?

or does 25% profit mean something else?

 

It means that you'll harvest 7 wheat instead of 5 from a regular 2x2 patch.

The other day I ate one and also had a CAC going due to event and put wheat on a couple comfort fields - yield was 21 per comfort field.

 

Oat bread only works for wheat, it gives 25% profit of wheat. Profit means extra wheat when harvesting, it depends on which plots did you use (1x1's, 1x2's, or 2x2's) and may use in conjunction with any buffs (like PJ or CAC for better outcome).

It yields 7 wheats.

No, it yields 3 wheats.

Yes, it yields 5 wheats.

Yes, it counts.

25% profit means you got extra wheat for 0.25 times of wheat when harvesting.

i am interested in 1x1 plot, i was taught to measure twice and cut once so i will ask again and sow once.

oatbread alone you lose the buff but combined with cac you get the buff (for 1x1 plot)

thnx sillyguy for your time and patience. one final question (maybe). any other buff i could use in conjuction with cac and oatbread to boost output? i believe i can also speed up growing time with another buff. would ep buff be lost on 1x1 plot? zab,srj,em,sw, if using these 4 ep buffs, do they all add up together or are they applied separately and fraction lost?

Sorry to make you a bit of confusion.
Yes, not only PJ and CAC you could use in conjuction, you could use any buffs together as long as there is free slot at buff slot bars.

ZAB, SRJ, EM, and SW will give extra EP from the crops(in this case is wheat), but won't give extra crops. They all add EP up together and no fraction lost.

Planted wheat on 1x1's and ate CAC + Oat Bread, it would yield 5 wheats even you used in conjuction with any other buffs.

 

Buffs apply to the base value, so the effect of oat bread is independent of CAC and PJ. Here is how the oat bread bonus is calculated:

• 1x1 fields yield 2 wheat, +25% is 2.5 which is rounded up to 3 wheat
• 1x2 fields yield 3 wheat, +25% is 3.75 which is rounded up to 4 wheat
• 2x2 fields yield 5 wheat, +25% is 6.25 which is rounded up to 7 wheat

(I just tested this on my old farm, so I know it works this way) Using PJ will give +1 as usual, using CAC will give +2 as usual.

The EP on the other hand is calculated with decimals, so you don't loose any fractions

 

full field 1x1 using cac will give me 1010 total (minus 202 seeds for planting)
ep buffs are all gold.
best combo then would be cac, oat bread and zab. i cant seem to find anything to throw into silver slot??
for a grand total 808 wheat + 1616ep for every batch.

side note, will cac work on baha too?

I don't think the EP you calculated is right though feelfree2win EP is calculated per plot, not per crop harvested

 

so ep is only 323 per field, lol quite the difference. extra 16.5k ep not worth 64k cc.
before i try this, is there a better crop?

finished event this morning and had over 2 hrs left on cac. so i popped an oat bread and started. in that 2 -2.5hrs i harvested approximately 32k wheat. 7mins in the glade, an extra crop every 4 harvests. nice part is its up a little in my market, selling between 14-15cc. i will definitely go for a full cac once i build up the courage to be glued in front of the comp all day.

 

Nice experiment, thanks for posting your results. I did some quick wheat turns myself today to use up the last 45 min. of a CAC. I went through a lot of my back stock making chicken feed as I'm to cheap to buy it.

 

started trying to refine wheat, try to save growing time. did small batch overnight and got 810 wheat back

today is the day, im off and running, popped cac, oat bread and pretzel. no ep craft items. lets see how far i can get. not using 100% though, still have some long running pens and trees out but they will be removed once harvested.
no luck in getting 10% speed up refinement, 5 days trying
