I think all those in the EN forum should just be awarded all the prizes as compensation. After all, it is pretty clear we weren't expected to play this event anyway.

I have to wonder that there is STILL no FAQ up, no announcement, no nuttin. Probably trying to come up with some new excuse as to how we aren't despised and there isn't preferential treatment given to certain others.

Let's calm down a little. It is a game after all. And even the mods have a RL that can interfere with the game (duty's).

Some where in the event place (if you have clicked on it), right lower corner, is a small green sign that says "visit Valkyrie shop". Click on it to see the possible rewards.
We can cherry pick what we want and don't need to do the whole event. I my opinion the wonder trees and stables are worth the try, at least for beginners. Or the chocolate syrup recipe.
I also didn't really prepare. Had/have my stables out and was feeding them to fast. Then I remember how long they take.
So I will just start growing and then see how far I am going.

 

Not to take anything away from the mods who give up their own free time to do this. And are entitled to a weekend away or whatever. But I thought that after this happened the last time there were steps put in place so it didnt happen again.

Its not that we dont appreciate our mods, or want to seem ungrateful, but there should be someone at an official level who is responsible for checking that all forums have the same information posted at approximately the same time.

 

I have the USA flag up and the event is on that.

All well and good but two things: 1. This is not the first time this has happened. and 2. We all know how the drop rates go for this stuff and without notice we were unable to prepare long term crops. and 3. there are way many other things that make it clear the EN forum and players are an afterthought (the continual early Baby Boom for breeding events though we've complained how unfair this is every single time) , though this time not a thought at all!

 

No disrespect intended but: You do it and continue to take the trash too. Enjoy your strategy and I wish you well.

I posted in the General Issues section. My strategy was to ask direct questions intentionally, calmly and very respectfully.

And this farm is not changing its flag.

 

What else are we missing???

It doesn't take long to copy and paste a script and translate it for all the forums

 

I find it funny that a question was asked late yesterday & the answer was that no FAQ had yet been received, but today the answer is that all forums received the FAQ at the same time & it was a miscommunication. Except that doesn't work when other forums have had their FAQ up well before the answer was "we don't have any FAQ yet". Uh huh.

But my favorite is "many events have started without the FAQ posted". Yep, only in the EN forum, only here.

What's really telling is we did not even get an annoucement. It takes nothing to post an annoucement even if the FAQ had not yet been received and say there is a delay.

I am not a happy bunny. When the Mod said yesterday that the Sept Calendar was only a preview, I took that to mean that there was no event due. This morning I double checked the forum and, with no announcement of any event, I harvested all my farms, mainly trees with some pens. How many drops have I missed out on? Now I will take up pens as and when they are finished but most of my trees will not be done till tomorrow morning. Also I have already gifted daily gifts so apologies to all my friends and neighbours who did not get the drop item. Off to start the event now. Good luck everyone.

This farm's strategy is to wait to see ALL the actual information in order to make an informed decision regarding this junks growing.

 

At least we can grow all our crops and Get our drops.
Pictures are out and more info. Can't go back so lets all move forward and not worry about the past.

I knew the event was coming because it was on the calendar. that being said, I did harvest my crops 5 minutes early in preparation for the event (Doh!) I keep forgetting not to do that. someday I might learn
