Offline Status

    another user ~edit~ tried to contact me via the Chat program & although we were trading emails back & forth, she said the system was reporting me as being offline. we could not hook up in the chat room.

    I had been online for quite some time planting & harvesting so I'm not sure why she got that message or what to do about it.

    You may have been logged into different languages of chat. Do you know if you are both using the same language flag?

    I have no idea about what languages the other person may have been using, altho our emails were in English.

    You may need to IGM them to organize to login through the same flag. Although you both may be English, one may be logging in through UK/AU flag and you will end up in different language chats.

    it's not so much about the Chat function per se, my real question has more to do with why the system would show me as being offline?

    Edit = some websites allow you to show whether or not a person is online. Is this game like that, and if so, does the player have the ability to change that status?

    The chat system is dependant on what server you are logged into, if you are not on the server you cannot therefore be online on it. You cannot change your online status in the game
