Oh, please help! My pictures don't show!!

I posted some pictures in the Wanted: Game Spouse thread, and now they have turned into just markers!! What happened to my pictures, and can you help me get them back...Please???

Edit: I clicked on one of the pictures to reload...and they all reappeared! Do you think they will stay now?? What happened??

Edit: They disappeared again!! I tried reload again...and they appeared!!! Hellllp!! Are they going to keep doing this?? How can it be stopped??

Edit: And once again I've had to reload them!!! Someone, please help!!

Edit: I have heard from someone that, even when I reload and can see the pictures....they still cannot see them.

You need to upload the pictures to a free photo hosting site. You can then link the URL when adding a picture to your post, like you did with your signature.

I was able to put in a URL from my Pictures file on my computer, and then insert to the post. I can see the pics in the post, but every time I leave the thread, they turn into those little sq. img's. No one else can see the posts. When I return to the post and the img's, I click on one and hit reload...then they all become pictures again. Until I leave the thread.
Any idea why they keep reverting?? I made my Avatar from a pic. stored in the same way, and it stays.
Any way of fixing whatever is happening with my picture files not 'sticking'??

 

Sorry I do not mean to butt in or hi-jack, but I remember having similar troubles, and it was so frustrating.

farmlily - I'm no way a Pro but this is what I do to post a picture: (sorry if it's too basic) Press Print Screen to copy, Save to Desk so it is easy to find, open Photobucket (or any other free sharing sites). Press "Upload from computer" and choose Desk. Now you should have found your picture, click on it. Be a bit careful, they run adds on the top half of the page so scroll down to see your picture (very small), click on picture! Now magic happens: your picture will show alongside 4 different links. Click on the one that says Direct Link. In the window it says "Copied" I think.
Return to Forum; write whatever and than click on the small picture above with a mountain, and paste the URL. Magic happens and your picture should appear! If you cant get it to work pleas give me a shout

(SHOUT!!) hatzeva!!!!! Help??! I downloaded photobucket...or so it said. Now I can't find it. How do I access it??

 

Hhhm....I just log on to their website photobucket.com and all my pictures are stored there under my user name. I don't think I downloaded anything. Hope this helps

I think the problem is the URL is not actually a picture, but a link to google mail, so you will only be able to see them from your mail account.

 

Well, I just don't know what the problem is....it worked before, and now it doesn't. So I've taken hatzeva's advice and found photobucket. I'll start posting again as soon as I get a chance.
