One more hours for Moonlight Mania?? (German daylight savings time ended??)

Morning!

I'm a bit groggy here, but let's see if I can pretend to be coherent this early...

I just woke up and noticed the in-game timer for the Moonlight Mania quest appeared to have an extra hour attached to it. When I clicked the Current time in CEST thread, I noticed that the time there was off an hour as well.

So that must mean that daylight savings time in Germany (where BigPoint and all the producers are located) ended and gave us an extra hour??

My second question is... in the states, next Sunday, our daylight savings will end also. But it will happen during the upcoming Halloween event. Therefore we will lose an hour of that event. It already appears to be a rather intense event (with a strange combo of 4 hour and 6 hour crops) ...Will you please pass the loss of time information on to the higher-ups so they are aware? (As I am guessing it will take many farmers by surprise this week that their "normal" CEST event end and start times are off, or they just might think BP is playing around with event times and not realize they are going to lose an hour of the event).


The current countdown timers are already hard to understand as they have the current hours and then the minutes are a combination of minutes and hours combined... Might I suggest the timer site, "Its Almost" instead (you will have to google it).

Also, I would like to suggest that perhaps a note be added to the calendar for when the CEST time changes back and forth to daylight savings time, to help us farmers plan for it. It would also be helpful for those us us who do not use the calendar, if permission could be gained for a thread in Official Announcements/Event to help give farmers a head's up there as well, and to help ease any farmer frustration...

~edit~ Now my Moonlight Mania countdown clock says 20 hours remaining... I am so confused! (Yet unexpectedly hopeful at the same time...!)

As Daylight savings was ending in Germany, the event timer must have gotten confused . The Game Team have been alerted and we'll have an Official Announcement as soon as the situation is clarified.

Well, I am hoping they are extending the event, and it's not just a glitch. (I could really use that extra spooky growing time!)

My only further questions is... I realize as I typed that a lot of my post was probably suited better for the Suggestion Box. I am thinking about starting a new thread with the above suggestions in it, but if it's already been noted and passed on... your thoughts on the matter?

 

MM has been extended as announced in the Official Announcements

The Game runs on CEST. If daylight savings ends in the US, you will loose an hr of event time. They cannot sync times to all the different countries across the globe.

Any suggestions about the timers, calender, are best posted in the Player's Suggestion thread.

I am sorry, but it cannot be true that they will loose an hour. The event will last 6*24h calculated from German time, and this is how long the event lasts for everyone.
True, the event will seem to end one hour early, but that hour was gained when adjusting the time

 

Thank you -Mir85- for pointing this our. Indeed, nobody will lose time, the event will be running for the same amount of time, whether it ends at 5 pm or 6 pm in one of the US time zones (random example) - it still runs for the same amount of hours for everybody.

It's not the first time the daylight savings time ends It shouldn't be too confusing.
