"One Thousand and One Knight" Timed Event Quest

This is a simple quest: just need to get drops to donate to the event with 2 mailand crops (dadelions & radishes) and 2 bahamarama crops (aloes vera & zebra plants).

Event Drop:

Hourglass

You will get this drop when harvesting the 3 main lands, bahamarama plantation and the rainforest from crops and trees.

Numbers are:

1400 Hourglasses
1160 Dandelion (mainland crop - 7h timed quest to grow them)
1170 Radishes (mainland crop - 7h timed quest to grow them)
1060 Aloe veras (bahamarama crop - Statue in Golden Banana Temple must be open - 6h timed quest to grow them)
1100 Zebra plants (bahamamara crop - Statue in Golden Banana Temple must be open - 6h40 timed quest to grow them)

Prize to be won 3 Lenny's Laboratory Upgrades + 1 cloud row

Of course, with the "low" number of event drops needed, the drop rate may be low, so plan accordingly.

Reminder this is a "Timed Quest" So you have 7 hours to grow the 1,160 dandelions and 7hours to grow the 1,170 radishes on Mainlands. On Baha it is 6 hours to grow 1,060 Aloe Vera and 6:40min to grow 1,100 zebra plants!

Thanks, Northy, I might also try this. Does someone have suggestions for buffs to use (is CAC enough, along with something to shorten harvest times?) How many plots should we set out? I have my Baha fields stuffed with critters and trees with a dearth of plots

Mainland Glade is full of trees and critters - nary a plot/crop. Meadow is mostly plots with a few critters tucked in a corner. Main field is mostly plots for event field drops.

 

I'm in - Cloud row is okay. But, I really want those upgrades for Lenny's Lab.

I think we can start the timers and then harvest and then plant again, right? So while it may not give great drops, we could theoretically get a head start with the harvest if we at least put ONE field with the first crop - dandelions. I'm thinking I'll put out a longer timed crop on the main field (for the hourglass and fish drops) and dandelions on the green meadow and magical glade.

Also - if you still have one available, employ a 200% buff in your diamond slot. Also an option: 100% plant bonus in a gold slot. (or both for maximum effect.) It might be time to open the crates that give buffs if you have any saved.

 

I just counted that it is just one harvest from main field to finish one plant if you get 6 plants from one plot. I like to do these timed harvest with one harvest. Required time is less than basic growing time of plants, so you can easily harvest them twice.
I am thinking about my strategy. I think I'll aim for drops at start and think next step after that. It would be easiest to harvest all timed plants about same time using some buff (CAC+plant revenue or Jack O'Gift or Suzy's super grow or something else), but to start next one requires a lot of drops.

 

I will plant long crops on Mainland, Green Meadow, Baha and Rainforest. My Glade is full of givers and so will not be in use for the event.

Since this timed quest event is only 4 days instead of our normal 6 days, I think getting a good drop from the initial harvest will be important.

I will need to see how many hourglasses I get from the first harvest and then make a plan for the timed sections. I can simultaneously plant dandelions and aloe vera and when the dandelions are ready to harvest, I can start the timer, deliver the crops and plant the radishes. Deliver hourglasses. Start the timer and deliver aloe vera. Hopefully by this time, there will be enough hourglasses to deliver and then harvest radishes. By this time, it will be late afternoon and the next step would be a large delivery of hourglasses and I'm not sure I will have that many, so my plan is to plant long crops for the next morning. Saturday morning, plant zebra grass, and when it is ready, activate timer and deliver. Then I'll just need to focus on the final delivery of drops and can plant what I need to stock up on during the day with long crop overnight.

CAC and water will be enough. I'll make any necessary adjustments based on drop rate, but at this time, I'm not worried nor planning to use buffs other than CAC. I like to keep my fields ready at the same time, so I will grow the crops on the 2 corresponding fields so they can harvest together and that will be enough with CAC for the deliveries.

I'm glad to have another event other than Carnival! Although they are throwing mystery tree and the train as well.
Carnival was getting a bit boring on its own ....especially since float awards really don't count.
One Thousand event should be straight forward....hopefully with generous drops.

I had a lot of work outside for two days. I was able to harvest twice at the event site, morning and evening. I was too tired to get up at night and harvest. I just found out about this event. Unfortunately, only my main plot is available in Bahamara. There are long-term workshops and shelters in other areas. I also have a lot of donors. For now, I plan to only plant in the main plot and remove the workshops and shelters tomorrow. I think the drips will be an issue. We'll see how it goes. Good luck to all the farmers.

 

Just harvested all four areas and have 302 hourglasses, so drops seem to be good so far. As much as possible yesterday, I put away critters and workshops and laid down long grow crops. This morning I removed trees and replaced with plots and mostly 6 hr crops. I replanted longish crops on Baha areas and planted dandelions on Main and Meadow. Using only CAC and water so far as I'm saving manure for the event field. Wish everyone their best strategy for whichever events they're doing!

Two hours later and completed second round of long crop harvests and have 694 drops. Dandelions planted and some 6hr crops on Baha lands. Will sow event crops on Baha later today.

 

My initial harvest gave 694 hourglasses. Dandelions and aloe vera are planted. Off to a good start

 

Can we use all 3 Farm Fields and all 3 Bahama fields to do CROPS?

If so, all areas different crops (timer ofcource one of the time!)and this is ready if not this night, at least tomorrow!

Sewinglady's farm has harvested: Amaranth, buckwheat and rainbow corn (one crop on each mainland field, with amaranth on the main field, yielded 810 hourglasses.

I have planted dandelions on the mainland fields and aloe vera on the baha fields. SL's farm got a 100% bonus off the wheel (yes, I nearly fell outta my chair). So with that, an activated jack o' gifts, a 100% plant bonus and 100% farm bonus, yield off a 1x1 plot is 10. I also used green goo to speed up production on the dandelions only. Left the aloe vera "normal" with just water and manure so as to stagger harvest times.

My plan is to do similar on this farm, but without the green goo - will use the buffs that shorten time on flowers. Crossing fingers this farm can catch a break on the wheel, too! (PS: the Farmerama Goddess be with me today! 100% bonus for this farm, too!).

 

I off to good start as surprised to get 830 Hourglass from All 6 Field of long timed crops both crops were 20.hour crops I used my bundle of CR Drop boosters with using any Howie's

Meadow Crossing and others doing timer quests, Firstly fill the first two timer crops in baha and main Fields, Green meadow and The Glade using 1x1 with CAC only

make sure first two crops are ready to harvest then activate the quest task timer separately no need to shorten the times on these crops or use others buffs except CAC

Just pre calculate crops combo amount needed per task

The first 3 are easy. I also had too many stables and trees out on baha to complete the quest requirement with one harvest (wish I had had chamomiles list of buffs to use which would have made it even faster)

So I grew dandelions on mainland and the aloe vera at the same time on baha. I completed the dandelion quest in under a minute once the dandelions had matured. So then I started the aloe vera section next and harvested the aloe vera next. I then planted the second lot of aloe vera needed. In this time I planted out the radish, a 5 hour-ish crop on mainland, 2 full fields is enough although with the right buffs you can do this on one field too it seems. They will finish an hour after my second lot of aloe vera.

I will plant a long overnight crop and with chamomiles list easily finish the zebra plant part tomorrow sometime, 2 days left to casually collect the last 50% drops remaining

So far a field of hay gave me nothing
a field of trees gave me ebout 100 hourglasses
the dandelions gave me about 30-40 per field.

 

The 'wild-card' thing that I had forgotten about timed quests/events is that, OK you fill the requirement, but those crops disappear! So they are not available for replanting and this is a bother if I have only a few plants to start with. So I buy as many times as they are available... 300 per day.

Does anyone know if this would work? Can I plant dandelions and start the event just before harvesting them to get a head start?

 

Yes! As long as you initiate the timer Before you harvest, then it counts. But, as teecee says, those donations disappear so you need to have ample crops to replant.
