Opening Tool Boxes from the Deco Tab

Recently we had a change in that our tool boxes that we get as prizes or from the chicken pet are collected in the barn in whole units. You can see in the picture below that I have 1280 tool boxes in stock. We now have to go to the deco tab to open these tool boxes. The good point is that we can save them up and open them when we need them....and they do have the newest rare tools in them.

My suggestion is that (somehow?) we be allowed to open only the amount that we would like to open.
With the upcoming fishing event I'm sure there are some farmers who will be opening their tool boxes. But....in a few weeks we will be having geese breeding with a new factory...a new rare tool. We need to be able to save some tool boxes back, especially the long time farmers who have no FSQ left with tool boxes.

Yes, a wonderful idea! I would not want to open over a thousand tools at once.

 

Great idea JJenks - I opened mine, thinking we could choose how many we opened and what do you know, you can't!

 

I agree with you JJenks, it would be great to open the boxes as you want them.

This is strange my tool boxes do not save up in the Deco tab.
When I get a toolbox as a gift it is automatically put into inventory.
Same from the tool boxes that I got from completing event tasks.
They just auto opened.
Why do some get to save and other are just auto open?

 

Your right austg, I have edited my original post. The ones that get saved in the deco tab are from the chicken pet and some prizes we win. I just tested it on my farm and gifts from our neighbors or tool boxes from FSQ go directly into inventory.
Why? It was changed during a recent event...not sure which one, maybe someone else remembers.

 

While I have lots of tools in my deco tab due to my chicken pet, I've never seen an XXL toolbox in there. How did you get that?

 

I could be wrong but I think they just go straight into the barn under Other.

 

They were one of the prizes from the sushi bat feeding event. Also in the Gone fishing event now if you win the XXL toolboxes this is were they will end up. But you will have to open them all at the same time....

 

I think they all should be saved for us to open and just like with anything else you open one at a time or like you said give an option how many to open.
I personally do not like any of the auto open features.
If we do a FSQ and get the harvester it starts right then.
Or if we win it on the wheel. I have not won it many times on the wheel but the few times it did happen I was not able to use it and it went to waste.
If you win something it should save into inventory and you use as see fit. I feel like I was given a gift and then it taken right back away.

 

This has been changed. Thank you BP for listening!!! When you go to open your tool boxes saved up from the chicken pet it will open 100 at a time. The XL and XXL tool boxes are still all opened.
