Parents Day Strategy

I feel like I am the only farmer with a low drop rate on Magnifiers.
I should be finishing up all my crops today working on violets and the last of Mother/Father requirements.
I need 100 insect guides - which I am sure will show up in the drops - BUT the magnifiers I need 465
For a full field of the Mother Flower I got 10 magnifiers at the most in a harvest.
I am not sure what to plant once my crops requirements are done that will give me good drop rate.
Blueberries did good at the start but I would need to harvest blueberries 50 times before the event ends.

 

Hi there please don't cry You're drop rate isn't bad at all The event has only gone on for a bit more than two days, there are still almost 4 days left, and you have already gotten more than half of the needed magnifiers! You should have no problem getting the rest

I still need 225 magnifiers

Edit: the post initially said 285 magnifiers needed.

 

Mir posted as I was typing so I will just agree with her that I also think you are doing fine.

You are ahead of me with your crops. I was away from the computer most of yesterday and still need 291 magnifiers. I should have the Mother's Love finished today but will need to keep growing Father's Love tomorrow.

As far as what to plant when you are done with crops, you should plant whatever fits your schedule best so that you can keep harvesting on time and turning your farm over often.

ok, I see you edited your post, before it said 285 magnifiers, now it says 465.

So you are not doing so well, but I still think you can make it

Total drops needed: 800
Already gathered: 335

• Say you got 80 drops from the initial harvest.
• That means you have gotten 335-80=255 during the first 51 hours of the event.
• That is 255/51=5 drops per hour in average
• There is still 93 hours left, so with that drops rate you can expect 93*5= 465 drops
• Which is exactly what you need
• Now it looks like I did something clever with the numbers to make them fit perfectly but I swear I didn't

To improve your chances, do what pnp said: try to harvest on time and not leave your fields idle.

In addition: Post in the SOS thread and ask for magnifiers

Yes I did have to edit and heart dropped - I accidentally updated my reminders and cleared a level. After my post I went back and saw I still needed 180 magnifiers for task 3 diamond
I am keeping computer with me all day and setting timers to remind me to harvest harvest harvest on time.

Day 1 I just spent getting enough crops to have full 1x1 fields for mother father.
Then 8am day 2 harvested and cleared everything - full 1x1 on all fields then when ready to harvest activated 1st CAC.
stayed up til midnight day 1 and 2am last night to maximize - then up again at 8am to activate 2nd CAC and harvest.

Hoping using blueberries or what is left over of mother flower for 10 hour crop to get good drops for today.

Do you have the trophies that increase drops? Those make a big difference, but it is important to use them right. You can read more here. Try to increase the trophies as much as you can (reasonably). For the crop trophy it is best to use high level tree fruit, and for the animal trophy it is best to use cuckoos

Any newbies out there - get your chickens out and get selling poop in lots of 100. I listed mine in lots of 100 at 250cc and they are selling faster than lots of one at 201cc.

I have been feeding both trophy's but not hard like, that's about to change.
I got one cuckoo in the surprise stalls, I really love them bats they were nice to me while feeding them.
Does anyone know what level I will be able to buy more of them?

 

It is not possible to buy the stables yet, and we don't know at which level they will be put when they are.

BTW I would strongly recommend buying the cuckoos, not raising them! Cuckoo feed cost 800 in my market while cuckoos are a bit over 100 CC.

The reason is that last year we had several cuckoo events with cuckoos as drops from stables, so they were sort of free and we gathered thousands of them. I had about 22,000 before I threw them all into my trophy Then I bought more, because they won't be this cheap forever

 

It has been a long time to remember correctly but the base bat roosts can't be bought, they used to be quests rewards from old events, I did not see them for a long time, I wish I checked the last MMM to see if we could get the bat roosts in jack shop, I can't recall, may be someone can tell, as well as the crow roost, it is also sad that they can't be built in the city, but the upgrades and the workshops can be built in the green building in the city.

I never looked to tell ya, I was just interested in making food for them little bats last MM, my 1st time there.
A vary smart farmer suggested I slow down and work at things slowly, good advice I took it.
I will have to look, I want more bats, did I say I love them little guys?
I am working out how much of everything I need to finish/start jacks back quest, want that beanstalk row, then bat,crow breeding, then flower recipes,then stalls....I will be living for them 24 hours I can tell ya, who needs sleep?

 

Yes, you can still build both bat and crow roosts using MM crops in Jack's shop.

 

keltic, the cuckoos are special the most I have got of another animal is 2394 bees and I bought them, didn't raise them

Mir85, gee, you didn't raise them you just CC them, oh that makes me feel better, let's see 2394 on average CC of around 600CC a tad over but who counting... I won't do the math as the magnifiers are making me cry enough... that's more CC's than I got total lol.
Heck that's more CC than I have had with a week total!

I need to work harder.

92 bees, I just got them this high before this event, I was so happy...2394 eh? me thinks I will skip the next plot using event, I need stuff.

It will come with time, in the beginning it is hard enough keeping your head over water, swimming from event to event, was no different for me

Guess I just want to say good luck, and don't be too overwhelmed, just keep going, little by little it will get easier

 

Oh yes, I know this game is for long term and commitment, I will hang in and work it!

I love haunting players as you, fun, game for play and tongue in cheek fun is welcome.
This makes the game a thing you want to be part of.

Yes bat, crow all available at jack's shop, but sold for MM crops not for cc I could buy only one bat roost during this MM for my farm farhanas

Hope we could have the next G&T in very soon time, I will send you a bat roost(stable).
Do you like to make some Guano, I could send you a workshop too
same as farhana, do you like to have a bat-guano workshop?

As newbies, I know use tools to make workshop will be quite hard.
So, earn more CC, instead of produce product. Buy product when they are cheap.
my advice is try to keep min. 100/product for stock.
However. try to keep at least one or two workshop as reserve for future urgency usage.
