    I thought it was only me LOL, I am having a hard time too understanding them, but I am sometimes like that till they start and can actually see them and get started with them, but I cant see doing the whole event for only 6 coins, I dont like the cloud row myself, but that is just my opinion, I was going to skip it, but dont want to skip it if it is going to mess up the whole month, I mean I see rewards list for many games played, but dont see getting that many games being play at this rate, 6 coins per event, 3 coins every 20 hours? Thats I figured I missed something major as I usually do until I start the event.

    Ok it says

    once both cake stands are filled with pastries, proceed to the next two, keep on playing, as the triplets will supply you with cursed coins - bring them to Doc Marigold in the bone queens treasure event.

    if the event only offers the 6 cursed coins, the last two given on layer 6, gold level, seems like the cursed coins would be offered in all 12 layers somehow, if for no other reason "to force" us to finish the event ??

    This why I am afraid I am missing something? I would hate to skip the event to find out that there were more opportunities for the coins, and would hate to do the event in hopes for more coins to find out there are none, see my delimma?

    As I have a real life and some other commitments, I have no time or mind for an event thats 4 weeks long (or a so called combined event)
    Another factory? Really? They just introduced the first factory not that long ago....It's a money making machine they are introducing again. Not me anyway.

    And after the carnival queen desaster I am sure with the stagged event something will go wrong too...

    So my strategy:

    I AM OUT.
    Waiting for the next crash in the system and the then following compensation package

    Good Luck to everybody doing it.

    I don't quite fully understand this event yet. I'm sure I will after playing. For now though, do you think it's ok to do stables and trees on 1 field only & the other 2 fields dedicate to crops? Or should it be 2 fields full of stables & trees and 1 field crops? Thanks to who can answer!

    I will of course be doing carnations overnight for hopeful better drop rate of the empty vials.
    And I'm assuming that longer "growing" stables (in addition to the trees) will yield more empty flacons. Does anyone know if just using all stables would give more drops than using stables and trees? I'll put trees in spaces not occupied of course on the field(s) with stables though.

    Good luck with this event, everyone! (and the other intertwining events ahead as well)
    :)

    This would be my advise.
    We need nearly as many flacons as vials but flacons are harder to get due to the space pens/workshop take up. Trees are the worst for drops (remember last alien event?) so I won't count on those. Pens/workshops require 4x4 plots, a full field with longer timed ones (I hope) will provide about 40 flacons. Crops only require 1x1 plots and a full field (I hope) will provide about 40 vials when using mid timed crops.
    Longer timed pens/workshops as preparation to secure a good start on flacons seems wise given the amount we'll need per day.

    The potential problem with pens is that the number of drops you can get from them are limited to 40/44 per field. That's ok as long as you don't use too long timed stables.

    Example: Lets say 10-hour stables on the main field gives 30 drops on average. If you put out 20-hour stables you would want twice as many drops, but since there are only 44 stables, you can't get more than 44 drops. With 20-hour stables you would then be losing out.
    How long is too long depends on how good the drop rate is, which we unfortunately don't know anything about yet.

    Edit: This is a concern during the event. In preparing for the event you should just make sure that whatever you put out will be ready to harvest when you start the event.

    Good thing about pens is that there are artisan products and cloud rows to shorten time, thus in effect increasing the drop rate per hour.

    I think the cursed coins are only a tiny part of this event, not the main focus. For me the best rewards are the cloud row, the 4 factory upgrades, the 4 witch cottage upgrades and finally the nigth-mare egg rewarded for completing the event. All of these are EP buffs, so if that is not your thing, the event might not be as attractive to you.

    There have been lots of EP buffs from BP lately. I think that has to do with the new levels that were added and the very steep level curve from 200 to 300.

    Thanks! @habalala & @-Mir85-
    With food & water the stables I chose to use are all around 12 hours. I filled the magical glade with them. I will also fill the meadow with stables as well as soon as I harvest an abundance of nettle I need to mill feed for my lynx.

    Since the Temple Monkey event was already mentioned and is similar to this event... here is the link to the Temple Monkey Strategy thread. Some reading material for anyone that has time. I don't have time to reread it but it did have some good info. I'm getting small bits of memory from that event. And, yes, it is one of those events that makes more sense once one gets "hands on".

    I don't understand how the factories are a money grab. I haven't spent a penny on the one I have.

    habalala, provided the numbers already.
    According to those numbers I can get the 15k barberry doing 4 harvests a day, w/ CAC, plus a longer crop for sleepy time from one full field. So I'll start out using the other two fields for pens and trees. I don't like micromanaging my farm so I usually try to find pens that, after buffs, is around 12h. I always miss on this because I can't keep track of all the CRs and buffs. If I get over 75% drops from the pens I'll try for something closer to 8h, w/ buffs, and leave it at that. On the other hand... Some of the pens I choose will be to fill in what I need for the event, like I mentioned I don't have all the lynx needed.

    I've planted gentiana on the majority of three fields because that is my longest growing crop, currently. It'll be ready around 4:30a. I'm not going to harvest anything from those three fields or my CR until then. After the event starts I'll swap everything out.

    By my calculations... the event starts at 5a on the wrong side of the planet. I'm usually awake then but... not always in a gaming mood that early. Really wish they would let us choose our own start time...

    For anyone unsure...
    Get a piece of paper or use Notebook on the computer or a spreadsheet... go thru the FAQ and plot your path. If you don't have a lot of critters and products then you'll want to add the number for the silver and gold tasks and make sure you have the requirements in stock as soon as possible. IF you wait until you get to Layer 12 then realize you don't have enough maple saps in stock are you going to buy them or grow them. If you're going to grow them... now would be a good time to start.

    If any Farmer has any Menagerie or Manufactory by all means use them, which in effect gives upto 48 possible drops per harvest, If you use Both maybe up to 53 Drops. These help boost Drop Rate Hours. As well as using Red Stables or Red Workshops;)

    There are some CR Buffs that can give additional reduction time on stables and workshops, as well as using two
    Gold Buff slots;)

    No problem :) You can find info here. It has the same effect as the pet dragon (+20% EP for 20 min, takes 10 hrs) if you know that one, but only takes up 1 plot.

    Thank you very much Habalala, SuzeeRabbit and all dear farmers sorting this out. I'm too tired at this point to make sense of the layers and what should I try to pick and plan for in terms of flavors. o_O For now, I will plan to mindless plant barberries on available fields and keep a few of my favorite farms lands with my regular heavy-hitters trees and pens /tree and animal buildings. I will reconsider after a good night sleep... lol

    UPDATE: Ok... after a good night sleep and thoughtful consideration, I'm doing the sensible thing here. Totally winging it! xD

    I went ahead and made my first donation and, not sure if anyone else picked this up, but it may save some confusion:

    Each charts shows the 5 levels of construction.
    Silver = Chocolate Pastries
    Gold = Vanilla Pastries
    Diamond = Strawberry Pastries
    It would make more sense to call each part Chocolate, Vanilla or Strawberry instead of Silver, Gold or Diamond! 8)
    But it does seem that, after the first donation at least, you can change flavours if you like so can continue if you get stuck on a level. :D

    There is a little red cross on the plates. When you run your mouse over it, it says "change flavour". :p

    Don't want to waste what I've donated so I'm not pressing it, uh uh, no way! :music:

    For me that cross went away when I made the first donation :oops: that's also what the FAQ says, so maybe refresh/clear flash cache to see if it is still there?

    REMEMBER:
    While everyone is busy starting their pastry building, please remember to harvest your 3 cursed coins in the Bone Queen's Treasure game. We get 3 "free" coins every 20 hours, in addition to whatever coins we may win in the pastry game and those in the coming weeks.

    Mindy, how do we harvest the coins? I didn't notice anything about free coins. Too much going on... *sigh* Thanks for the alert.

    Let me try to explain this event another way...

    There are two tables, "cake stands" in the FAQ. We have to fill both of those. We start to fill them by choosing TWO of the following from Layer 1... either silver=chocolate, gold=vanilla, OR diamond=strawberry. Choose carefully because you are stuck on that path for the duration. By referring to the different choices with the same nomenclature as FSQs... very confusing. If you choose silver=chocolate (crop donations) for that table you will need to fill all the silver requirements to complete HALF of Layer 1 and unlock to move on to Layer 2. You are also stuck with only those rewards from the path you chose.

    SuzeeRabbit, check the newspaper or event clock for Bone Queen's Treasure game. There is a harvester picture to click on. Gives 3 coins.
