Please post your constructive comments, positive and negative, regarding the "Peak Bragging" Event in this Feedback thread. We are looking forward to capturing your initial reaction to the event, as well as the final opinion after participating in the event.

Please be sure to bring arguments for supporting your statements, simple comments saying you like it or hate it will not help the Team understand what goes great, and what needs to be looked into, when planning future events.

The FAQ of the Event can be found here. If you have any questions, please use the General Issues section or the Technical Issues section for technical problems - this thread is for feedback only. Thank you for understanding.

We are looking forward to your feedback!

    Best regards,

My initial feedback, before the event even starts.... >:(>:(>:( thumbs down because you are asking for chamois!!!
Seriously??? This animal is way too new, there are none available in the market, and very few farmers even got lucky enough to even get 1 from the train 2 weeks ago! Rated hard? No, rated only for a few lucky farmers.
So much for PF sales.. duh BP >:(

I also agree with PeepsCa! Seriously BP, what are you thinking? The chamois is a very rare pen to get for most of us and I am at level 98, to say nothing of the fact that if you even have one you need a birch catkin as part of the food you need to make to feed it. Also a very rare and hard tree to come by, I do not have either of those and play every day!:cry:Also, there are none to be had on my market! So if I was to do this event the highest I could go is to level 8!! That is too bad as it looked like a fun event, but I do believe I will just farm till the next one!

Just as a side note that is not really feedback but can affect how the event is perceived.
I understand the frustration of the chamois requirement but that step is not a requirement for the event. You can skip it. It has no step after it (no dotted lines) so it is not necessary at all to do it. You won't get stuck on that level and can still get other things you might want from the event.

Thank you for bringing that up, that means that most of the event is doable.

Thanks for pointing that out PnP... I didn't see anywhere in the faq that it says we can skip any steps  , but looking at the mountain steps, I see that now.

Thank you Soo much for your input! I was, at the time, just checking the requirements to do this event and when I saw the Chamois I knew I could go no further, but will now go check the FAQ's and get the rest of the story!;):inlove:

I still feel that chamois is a ridiculous donation.
I hope at the very least there is one in a Christmas stocking, if not a pen. Thumbs down on this requirement.

I agree with this and the newer animals being a requirement. And so mean with PF for a prize! :(

I usually go all out to finish events but the number of PF means that I will not be able to complete this one. Not sure I can be bothered to go for the CR either - nothing to excite me at all there. I am fed up with all the clicking to open crates and then to accept the prize - usually something very underwhelming! One click on the CR (if without harvester), one click to use the box then another click to accept one star or one FC or one Peony or in this case one "zany animal" which is often one Star. Go figure. :wuerg:

Sorry, but as a seasoned player and usually up for all and every event, I am really considering passing on this one though I am tempted by the GBs and FCs and may do enough to get as many of these as I can but I shall probably mess up and use all my PF to get the Stars - which I could sell back to BP, I have so many! :p

Sorry, BP, no thumbs up from me. -.-

Edit: Two positive points about this event, thanks for the bonus BB - but no announcement? Still, happy to have the chance to complete some of the levels of those new FSQs. :)

Also happy that we can continue farming as normal on most of our fields. Just having one field with a relatively easy number of crops required does help us stock up our barns before you start asking for it all back! :D

Me again! Just noticed the event flowers. Very pretty, remind me of Michaelmas Daisies. :inlove:

no pheasants, crow breeding not unlocked, bat breeding not unlocked... guess I have no choice but to pass on this event as I can not do much of it and I am a level 93 but never unlocked the crow/bat due to such limited time on moonlight crop area. Sigh another failure/no fun event

I love many things about this event. The single field, with reduced requirements, so that we can continue to farm elsewhere, is a major plus. I would like to see this as a regular occurrence please. The option to skip steps on this event, as always, is a plus. I like to see the low numbers of many different things. The graphics are cute and the premise is different and thus good. There are some different prizes offered, which is nice, and the Aquatic Crate is great, although since it's a one time deal, I'd rather know for sure what pen I'd be getting, so I could judge whether it's worth it, since a couple of those pens I am lucky enough to have more than one of.

I agree with previous posters that asking for a chamois is a little unfair - it tells me that the devs spend no time monitoring the markets to see how long after a new animal is introduced, before it hits the market. For example, the most I can ask for a lion is 1545, and there's no way I'll sell one for that! Sooner or later, someone does, and then the market begins to stabilize - but for a good month or more after something new is introduced, there is none available in the market. The amount of PF needed to do this event is absurd. In my opinion it's insane to tie to breeding, an event that is not a breeding event, when we have SO many breeding events. Before there were such frequent breeding events, I would have been ok with this - but every month there seems to be a need for 400 PF or more.

I have to reiterate my (constant) complaint that there is one event after another after another and it becomes tedious. Please, consider scaling back to 2 per month of the events that require monitoring of the clock for optimum harvesting.

I think it would be helpful when BP does these types of events if they included the item # along with they requirements so that you didn't have to keep switching back and forth from Event donations and Event FAQs.

Example: The Mountain left highest icon would show that you receive a Cloud Row and clicking on it would show that it requires 2 Barnacle Geese and that it is Item 19 on the mountain path.

This would help those of us who can't finish the entire event but only want certain items.

I wish it had a list of how many steps complete out of the total; for example, 50/55 steps complete. With all the entrances and endings just looking for checkmarks made it hard to determine wich steps still needed to be completed.

Having come to the end of the event (for me anyway), I still am of the opinion that a lot was asked for little return. :(

The prizes for giving up rare animals were pretty poor. Three Chamois for 8 PF, three Axolotls for 8 PF and 5 Bats for 12 Bat-feed. There were some good prizes and for fairly acceptable donations but overall, I should have been strong enough to just let this one go. I did get all the Farm Coins (I think) and the GBs that were my main goal and the Crate of Aquatic Animals (I got a Shark, really wanted a Salamander but them's the breaks).

I suppose I am feeling negative about this event because I wasn't able to finish - then only because I didn't have enough PF. Now I see that there is another PF sale so maybe not enough people bought it - hence why the PF prizes were so low. I have to keep reminding myself that most, if not all, these events are aimed at making real money. -.-

I did find the event very confusing and had to really study all the strategy thread ... several times. Even then I had to ask a farmer friend to guide me to the prizes I wanted. A few tool tips would have helped - perhaps when putting the cursor on a tunnel to be exploded by Dynamite, a little hint what prize is at the other end or where the tunnel goes to. This may have been just my tiredness (I was working a full weekend and only managed to do the event in the afternoon when I was feeling very weary) but I don't think it was very clear how to progress to each prize. 8)
I will think long and hard before I do any of an event like this in the future ... far too costly for little reward in my opinion.

Edit: I was also hoping for some little gift in the Advent Calendar that may have helped us all, PF, Dynamite, Ice Axe or Carabiners but again I was sadly disappointed. o_O
