The Game Team is trying to determine if the birthday event is the root cause of the performance issues Farmerama has experienced since last Thursday.

The event has been disabled. Please log out and back in again to see the changes.

The game appears to be faster after you disabled the birthday event. I am not using the client, I use chrome.
will those that have not finished the event be able to complete it?

 

Just went to harvest and did mainland and 2 tropical before the spinning flower. Had to refresh to finish the third island and went to moonlight area where spinning flower every time I try to do something, harvest, plant, again and again several more times.
edit trying to go back to mainland and had to relog in.

 

i cant mill any jigsaw pieces in the mill, there is no button for event milling.
is this a part of the disablement?

 

Nothing changed for me. Still need to log into the game few times before it accept me.
Harvesting animals from breeding house is impossible in one go, and flower is spinning while changing farms or harvesting

 

Slow when switching from one field to another.
Need to refresh as sheep in wheelbarrow stick at 100%.
Have event crops pending harvest. With nowhere in mill to mix them, what happens ?
If birthday event is abandoned, what about those of us who have purchased packs to play/complete the game ?

Things are the same via the client - the loading flower of doom and the application not responding are pretty constant (the latter shows up in the bar at the top of the open window (I'm running Windows 10).

It does seem to be a little better if the game is opened in Chrome.

The lag issues that have remained unchanged in the client are pretty consistently when you harvest a field. It can take up to several minutes before the "not responding" error resolves itself and you are able to replant a field, etc. This is across the game - main fields, bahamarama and MM. I suspect that it has something to do with drops as having a lot of Howies out in the field or a lengthy crop that is ready to harvest seem to mean that the lag/lock-up will take much longer. That existed prior to this event, so is likely not related.

Event issues - unable to get out of and into fields - Often, I have to refresh to get a new field to open - this remains an issue after the event was disabled.

Terrible lag in Edelweiss Valley remains after the event was disabled - often unable to get the forester or gardener pop-up to work. Must refresh and return to EV for that to work (maybe).

 

I missed also jut 16 peaces from last puzzle. Disabling event does not even make performance better. I see still really much daisies

Just to confirm, you need to log out and back in again to test if the game is any better or not.

Also, each player's progress will be saved for the event. Nothing is lost. If you have event plants in your fields, and you harvest, you should have the seeds available to you when the event is enabled again.

For now, we are collecting feedback through 30th January at 10:00 and pass on to the Team. Further discussions and decisions will occur tomorrow. Please continue to be patient. We appreciate it very much.

Please report if the performance is just as poor with the event disabled as it was with the event running. Even if you still have some lag or spinning sunflowers, is it better?

Game seems to be working much better for me. Just wish the event would be a simple grow and dump

 

The game is working much better for me but not completely back to normal. I'm using Edge.

Has the event been canceled again?

 

The old is the same, the new is the same, nothing has changed.

 

It is less slow but there are still some daisies and issues regarding harvesting functions that don't get recorded. I was in the Edelweiss valley and chopped some trees and went to another area and when i went back to see my trees, some of the chopped trees were back on the field. I chopped them again, went to another area, planted some alpine roses, went back to check on my trees, came back to see if the alpine roses were planted. But it looks like the plants that are in the field are ones that I planted earlier today, and harvested already.

 

For me, using the client (win 11), it became better earlier when I think the tech team announced the make-shift solution to lessen the server load. It improved a bit more again after the forced log out, but it's still at times very laggy.

 

The game works a little bit better than earlier, but just a little bit. Now I can move from one area to another without wheelbarrow sheep or if I have sheep, there is progress all the time, it do not stay long in 48% or 88% or 100% like it did earlier.
Harvester/seeder/farm droid works better, but there is still lag, but no so many seconds/minutes than earlier. I do not need to wait ages to have seeder to plant new crops and another long pause before my fields are watered. Now I need to wait just a second, so it is better, but far from normal. Edelweiss valley has spinning flowers, but I can work there, there were times earlier today, when it was not possible.

Edelweiss Valley was slow already hours before Birthday event even started.

 

Unfortunately, nothing has changed, the game is slow and not enjoyable anymore. I finished the event despite all the difficulties. If it is canceled, I would appreciate it if you could explain what the rights of those who finished the event like us will be.
