Client hasn't improved for me: it's been 2 months and it will slow down after I harvested cloud rows and giver parks. The first harvest in each section (main/baha/MM) will result in a "unresponsive" program for a about 15 to 30 seconds. Now the program will freeze and saturate memory to 100% in the third land section I want to harvest, the only wait to shut it down is to kill it with the alt-ctrl-del menu. I'm using the harvest for this, manual harvest is out of the question because each click will just slow things down even more. EV is a real joke, clicking on ant section once the telepheric is taken is not responding: empty land sections, empty clients' orders, no converting.

The only thing I can do is go back to web version of the game (Win10 + firefox), there the harvester is a bit faster, but I do get spinning daisies between clicks. With playing 2 farms both with harvester, it takes me over 30 minutes. It's not fun anymore.

On the second harvest of the day things went pretty well while harvesting but nothing could be delivered at the farmhouse quests. Not much of the daisy but the wheelbarrow sheep were abundant. Crafting seed at alpine valley was very slow again. but worked, eventually.

    edit:
later on, going back to the alpine valley to harvest some alpine roses I did, and the fields showed up as empty, but when I try to plant new seeds they can only fit two squares. I go away and come back, and the alpine roses that I harvested are back, unharvested. This has happened to me several times. The graphics look like I have harvested and the fields are empty, but they are not when it comes to planting, and I waste seeds

there was also a new graphics glitch: In the edelweiss valley tree area, it looked like I have opened more slots than I really have, and you can also see alpine roses in the tree area. (This fixed itself by going away and coming back.)

I just finished reading the updates in the other thread:

    https://board-en.farmerama.com/threads/performance-issues.45588/#post-299062

I am curious, the link above states: "If we encounter again massive performance issues – which is unlikely – we will disable the event again, but we are optimistic and confident."

If massive performance issues arise in the future, during this event or any event, would it be possible to turn off Edelweiss Valley but keep the event running - to see if it works any better with that zone tuned off? Or simply just turn off that zone at any time to see how things run.

The game is still not running well, yes it has improved but something is clearly still wrong. :(

if it's all the clicking that is the problem maybe they should try fixing Edelweiss valley by adding the EV harvester in the regular harvester so more people would click less often? I have not seen the point of buying another set of helpers for the EV since it's a different cost from the usual harvester coupons.
But let's face it, they have made EV awfully clicky... if you wish to plant, you have to click, if you want to fertilize, you have to click multiple times, if you want to harvest, you sometimes have to click multiple times for the same seed, even if they're all ready at the same time. If you wish to speed up the crafting you have to click multiple times... The harvesting stops if your warehouse is full and it's not enough that you make clicks to empty some space in the warehouse, you also have to click to go into another area and click to come back.

Add my thanks to the mods for running interference for us and for putting up with our whining from time to time. I have also noticed a decline in performance since EV was added, and while I love it and would hate to see it disappear for a while, perhaps the fact that it is, indeed, very clicky, has had an impact on all of our farms. I do believe that the entire Farmerama team is working hard to give us more of what we want, overall, and to give us a good playing experience. The popularity of the game is a blessing and a curse, and the performance issues are most definitely worse at certain times of the day, so I'd wager that the number of players active at any one time has a great deal to do with performance. It is easy to say "just upgrade the servers!" but hard to do, so I, for one, am appreciative of every attempt to improve our gameplay and give us more choices of ways to farm. Like many of us, I have been playing a looooong time, though not all 14 years, only 12 (I think, maybe 13!) and there has been no other game to hold my interest this long.

This morning everything went pretty well and I was able to harvest everything without problems up until the Edelweiss valley. Two seeds of alpine roses planted, and the system crashed, the third and fourth seed just wouldn't take. The seed menu opens but nothing gets planted. I went back to the tree area to see if moving would solve the problem like it sometimes does, but the tree area crashed too (the same graphics glitch as yesterday, the locked slots showed up as unlocked and there were alpine roses too). I had to close the game and re-login, went straight back to the alpine roses without doing anything else first, was able to plant two seeds again before it slowed down noticeably.

    I was on the client.

Things are going better this morning, particularly the puzzle game. I really like that all pieces will populate for the same puzzle.

I would like to thank the devs for pivoting and working on this issue so that the players can get some satisfaction from finishing the event (if that is their intent) and for managing the schedule change/update. I've been here a long time and most of the time we are just given an apology and "compensation" package and left hanging when events fail or are yanked prematurely. I much prefer the communication and completion strategy that was executed here, even though I'm sure it's a lot more effort for everyone at BP.

I agree that EV/Alpine area may need further investigation as the source of problems. Even though everything else this morning is much improved, there is still a lot of lag and the need to refresh between fields or activities in the Alpine area.

The puzzle game worked better on Chrome than on Edge or Client. All done now. On the client, it was the alpine roses that glitched the game again today.

The birthday event is going great using a web broswer, the standalone client still cannot handle mutliple harvests and crashes or saturate pc's memory & al. It's been like this since December and no progress made there whatsoever.

There's still some issues with the harvester, spinning daisies are still there, not as much and for shorter periods of time but still. And what about those sheeps with the wheelbarrow... The % bar going up 1% at a time...

I've stopped visiting EV, I go just once a day. Excessively boring to harvest the same thing, manage the same thing, craft the same badges, try unsuccessfully to fill orders. empty screens when entering different sections or just other windows, and lastely the massive AEP needed to gain a level to get cheap rewards.

I have just finished the event on my other farm (Chevrefeuille). It was very frustrating but I managed to nearly finish it before it was withdrawn, albeit with lots of refreshing. :(

Since the event was taken off, the game still lagged a bit but I found that if I waited a few seconds, I didn't need to refresh. When the event was back on, it is the same - no need to refresh, just wait a few seconds. Still a bit frustrating but better than before. :p

EDIT: The game has been behaving very well since it was disabled last week despite all the events going on at the same time. Well done to the team for getting the required results! ;)
