I do, but I think I have enough golden leaf trees now. No nutmeg :(

I prefer the Pick-A-Tree event because I am the one to choose the possible outcome at the cost of 5 BB a try while with Wonder Tree seedings the outcome is 100% blank.

I got one of each recently released tree by spending under 300 BB. Quite happy about that as Wonder Trees would've cost me at least three times that much for a guaranteed one. I take the excess overflow of all other trees I got. Those most likely will take a trip on The Santa Express anytime soon :)

Wonder trees also cost 5 BB each just like the Pick A Tree Spree.

I prefer the Pick a Tree spree for 2 reasons: I like that I get immediate results rather than waiting. I like that I don't need farm space to get a tree. Works perfectly during this crop growing event.

That being said....I have tried several times and did not get either of the new trees. I'm happy with the ones I did get as I needed a few more.

These days I don't do pick a tree spree or wonder seedlings. Usually I can try my hand at G & T, after a few months these new trees will start popping up for exchange and I can try to get one then.

I prefer Pick a Tree rather than mystery trees for the same reasons as pnp!!! Plus I feel as though I have a bit more control over the outcome (less XL's....which I dislike). If there are trees I already have, I just do NOT select them. It's a bit more efficient. ;)

I also prefer Pick a tree!
This time there are many XL and XXL trees and I didn't like that at the start. But when I got an XXL Sakura tree I also won the base tree so it is a good thing. But I would prefer only XLL trees and not XL.
I also got a Myrrha tree! Which I didn't have. Before I buy more I need to place some forgotten mystery seedlings I found. And the problem is where to place them now during an event...

Quick question, if you win the XXL trees, is the base included?

Another quick question - if I get a ylang ylang tree but haven't unlocked ylang ylang in the temple, will I be able to place the tree or will I need to wait until I've unlocked it?

All the trees offered are rare trees, so no need to unlock in the temple :p
Really, really :inlove: Pick-a-Tree over Mystery Tree Seedling ;) In 23 attempts I got 2 Mangrove, 1 Nutmeg, 1 Sweetgum & 2 Myrrha (I had none) xD & the rest were trees I only had a couple of, so not a lemon in the bunch :D Best results ever & previous Pick-a-Tree events enabled me to acquire some older rare trees.

The only plus to Mystery Tree Seedling sale is the chance of XXL normal trees (that's how I received all my XXL trees which were not rewarded from events/quests), but it takes a lot of BB's for a small chance at a winner :wuerg:
Mystery Tree Seedlings as rewards for events, quests, bonus' or daily gifts are the best, haven't spent BB's so not as disappointed if another lemon tree shows up :p

This is one of those tricky subjects because both are very good on their own depending on how you approach them and what your goals are. So here are my thoughts.

Wonder Tree's - These are fantastic for building up a nice collection of rare tree's and XXL upgrades. Typically speaking if you buy in bulk, 10-20 seedlings at a time you'll almost always get at least one of the new rare tree. In addition you get valuable upgrades on your other tree's with XXL upgrades. XXL improving both time and experience results. Having those additional XXL tree's can really make a big difference in production numbers. The issue with this event is the number of XL upgrades you get, with the removal of the train for tree's we have no way of turning these into something more useful (although it appears we will be seeing the return of this train, so if that's the case this option becomes even better). So they rot in your inventory for the most part. Some XL Tree's are fine because their timer is 12h or less, but most don't get low enough to be useful except for many a small boost of ep.

Pick-a-Tree - This event is amazing for filling in specific trees you either want more of, or XXL upgrades for specific trees. The issue with this event is largely the lack of selection. Specifically speaking I'm sure there are plenty of people who would like to be able to chose XXL upgrades on normal trees like Cherries, Plums, Pears, Mandarin, Eucalyptus, etc. So while this event allows the player to pick specific trees, it certainly lacks on variety.

Well I for one used to love the mystery trees. Not sure if they have changed what we got. But I used to love waiting for them to come around again. That if I remeber right is how I got my egg tree.

Now I dont know about this pick a tree one... Didnt count my trees but i searched and selected trees i didnt have for the most part.. So it doesnt take any of our trees that I know of... But we need to have a better sorting for our trees and pens... I CANT FIND ANYTHING WITHOUT GOING TO 2 FARMS TO SEARCH ... there has to be a better way of knowing all things in our stuff going to one place and not 2... ARH.

I will always love mystery trees because I got my BB tree that way but the advantages of pick a tree spree try to undermine (and probably have already did it) the excitement of mystery trees.
