    Ok So let me see if I get this right. I pick trees out of my inventory, pay 5 gold and get one of the same trees back that I donated? This may be wrong, but if not what a huge rip off.

    Hello sumacke :)

    You got it wrong :) You do not donate any tree, you just select what trees you would like to have a chance of winning - like configuring your own wonder seedling treee. You choose what you would like to win, you pay 5 BBs, donate nothing - and get a random tree. The chances of win common trees are sure bigger than winning rare or uncommon trees.
