Piece-of-Cake Strategy

I'm done and I still have incomplete cells. The hard part is having to go back to blow out the candles and look at them. I'm stronger than FOCD though I'm going to hold out. Plus I sold all my grapefruit and haven't put my trees back out yet. I did cave and get the evil clown giver as it might be handy for trading. Until then it's stuffed behind the huge snowglobe and kept in place by a volcano so the rest of my park should be safe.

 

Great event ...but will now be glad when i have finished it ...having to refresh the game to get to other fields and the screen freezing ... has made this event a nightmare

I really had to see the cake completely iced so I have just completed ALL the cake, even the sticker giver, which normally I avoid like the plague. Is there something I can take to cure me? (ps I am so sad, that I did this on all 5 farms!)

Only 4 orange to go to get the last few tiles done.
I am not going to do the last giver like Banjoman or the sticker lol

 

Completed everything except the sticker. Now to remember to blow out the candles!

 

Almost finished on four farms. Need to mill a few more blue pastry bags and waiting on drops. I love those stickers but I don't do anything with them. Good luck to those still working on it.

 

Put out my trees and stables on BillyWhiskers and I think I got whatever was left in the grab bag

Stables: 3 Dove and Orange Sheep
Trees: 2 Kowhai, XXL Pine, XL Beech and XL Stone Pine
Baha: 3 Baobab, XXL Carob, XXL Banana

Upgrades are always nice and appreciated, as well as rare trees but not much variety this time around. Not many players need the extra trees I have and now that we know for sure that we cannot recycle them on the train, I guess they will do their job for quests and then gather dust in storage.

go back to normal farming & wait for the next event come.

 

Down to the last 7/9 Blue Meringues respectively on my two main farms. I didn't realise that there were doubles of the EP givers either but it would have made no difference, I would still have tried to finish the whole thing. As it is, I am leaving it to providence - well apart from this farm (having a small glut of SG) doing two fields of rapid Roses and a third of a field on Cheverefeuille to see what happens. Oh and Carnations overnight.

Losing one day with no internet, working three days of the event and (shock horror) socialising and not farming for another long period last night/this morning, I don't think I have done too badly. The crops were finished yesterday morning and I am lacking about one 24 hour period of drops - which I may get by tomorrow morning which will be my last chance as I am working tomorrow morning too.

All in all, I have enjoyed this event - it has the right amount of pressure without having to stay awake/set alarms (not that I do unless I am working lol!) through the night to harvest, etc!

Good luck to all those still working on it and to those who are bravely battling FOCD!

Oh, and though it is hard to say which of Stephen King's books is the most scary, "IT" would be at the top of my list. I never considered Clowns being that scary ... but after reading that, well, I join "I hate Clowns" Club!

 

Yesterday, I once again started the event with 62 seeds after losing nearly 3 days of game. Within half an hour, net went away. So everything became weeds again. Just now net was back to normal. So, now I am once again starting the event with 5 seeds.

So I think I will go for the Cloud Row and I love clowns.

 

Oh 12ss12, I'm so sorry for you! Here I was moaning because my net wouldn't work last night, so I ended up with only one field of carnations and some pineapples, plus my rain forest trees to harvest this morning on bearbabe. Yet I'll still finish, as all I have left is the last I Hate Clowns tile, and only need 18 pastry bags. Do what you can, get what givers you're able, I'll give you the extra I Love Clowns giver from bearbabe.

Here on spots I finished the whole thing yesterday, and am now trying to remember to blow out the candles on time. Put out as many rodent pens (mice, hamsters, moles) as I could get on 2 fields, then chickens as I am low since I keep selling them all, lol, plus need poo for next event. Time to browse the markets while I have my coffee, then scrub my kitchen.

 

Thanks a lot spotsbox. You put my mind at ease. I will go for the cloud row first. Try to get the I Love Clowns, if possible. Else wait for a gift from bearbabe next event. Other items for the cloud row, I have.

I think I'm doing good. As of now, I have left the I love clowns using 4 oranges, light the orange candle with 2 orange, 2 blue and 1 red candle and the 4 blue for the blow out giver. I have 180 pastry bags. You have been so generous and kind. I just hope I can grow enough crop for 6 orange, 6 blue and one red meringue. That's 310 pastry bags and 4550 chickpeas. It looks like the only possible holdup is pastry bags. I'm hopeful.

I am not getting the extra givers or the sticker, I don't have the time.

Edit: I want at least one cloud row for the last two events.

 

Well thanks to you all explaining things to me... I finally got what was expected of us... whew took me long enough. Miraculously I finished the cake and now I'm wanting a piece of real chocolate cake lol.... my favorite. I even went for the last one, which was the sticker. I don't even have a place to put the sticker, my little book is full and I don't know how to make it bigger. Guess that's something for another thread. So sorry 12ss12 for the troubles you had, wish we could do something to help....! Thanks to everyone for being here and being great!! Happy Sunday everyone!

 

I am completely finished! I even finished the last tile with 10 blue meringues after this mornings harvest.

For all those suffering from coulrophobia, (A fear, or strong dislike of clowns.), if you really watch the clown he is quite an amusing and entertaining fellow.
I want to thank all my wonderful friends and neighbors for all the pastry bags they sent me. I wouldn't have completed this event without your help.

I only have 21 extra chickpeas after making 1 extra bottle of Chickpea liquid, which I will use to make 1 last blue meringue if I get 5 more pastry bags from my normal farming today, just for the additional EPs and CCs.
I do wish the event drops would stop and normal drops would resume once you've completed the event. Maybe that is a change BP could look in to, but I guess the event truly isn't over because I'm still blowing out candles. Oh well, just a thought.

Congratulations to everyone who finished the event, or completed all they wanted to do, and good luck to all who are still toiling away.
All in all I really enjoyed this event. I didn't have to change my farm very much at all, except swapping a few stables for farm land on my main farm. Getting drops from stables, stalls, workshops and trees was very nice and minimized the amount of changing required. The changes I made were simply to enable me to grow enough chickpeas. Thank you BP.

 

Hi Doc, the event drops come in addition to the normal drops, you don't get fewer of the normal drops because of the event drops. Therefore the extra event drops are just a small bonus that will be exchanged for CC and EP after the event

 

Have completed the event ...even the sticker ...which i didn't know i had opened ...or wouldn't have lol
