Pinkie Pie - When is it the best time to activate this for a buff extension?

Hi, I currently have the CAC buff activated and there are about 9 hours to go. I have a Pinkie Pie and want to extend this CAC time. Should the pie be used at the beginning of the CAC buff or can it be activated near the end. Does it make a difference to the extension time when the pie is activated? I couldn't find this information anywhere about when to use it. If I have 9 hours left on my CAC buff, will the pie extend just this 9 hours by 30% or will it extend the full 18 hours by 30%.

Hello Growalot.

A Pinkie Pie Pie will extend any crafting buff by 30%. Therefore a Carrot Apple Chutney with Pinkie Pie Pie can be used for 23h 24 mins. The Pinkie Pie Pie will need to be eaten before the Carrot Apple Chutney runs out.

I don't quite understand what you mean by it has to be eaten before the CAC runs out? Maybe I'm being a bit slow on the uptake, but do you just mean to activate it before the CAC runs out? Is it better I add it now, will it give me the same extension as if I had activated it at the beginning of the CAC?

It will make no difference when you eat the pinkie pie pie - you will get the same 30% extension on the whole buff time even if you eat the pie 5 minutes before the CAC runs out.

If you eat 2 CACs and you eat 1 pinkie pie pie before 18 hours pass and both of them are still active, they will both be extended with 30% each (applied to the whole 18 hours).

What you need to be careful about is the following: If you eat a CAC, then a pinkie pie pie, and you eat another CAC before this extended buff runs out completely, you will be unable to extend the second CAC that you just ate, because this slot will be already seen as 'extended'.
