Hello, I've gone over the FAQ and I've tried to figure it out myself several times but I don't understand how to keep a refined plant and then plant it in my fields. I thought I chose to keep my refined barley, but then it showed I chose another option, better fertilizer, instead. I'm not sure how I did that and I can't figure this out. When farmers here say they received a higher number of event drops from refined roses, for example, I took that to mean, they planted then harvested the refined roses in their fields. Am I incorrect in thinking this? I can't figure out how to keep and then plant my refined plants. Thanks for any advice or help!

Every time you get a successfull refinement in the Greenhouse, you win 1 out of 9 possible outcomes. It's random.
To use the refinement it has to be assigned in the Refinery -the other tab-.

Players talking about refined crops mean they have won at least the Early Bloomer refinement, that's the one which reduces grow time by a good chunck. It may take quite a few tries to get it.

One gets higher drop numbers by using long time crops. Drops do not depend on refinements.
But using refinements reduces the time it takes to grow these long time crops.
E.g. carnations without Early Bloomer refinement take like 18 hours to grow (1 harvest per day). With this refinement added it only takes like 12 hours (2 harvests a day).

Hope this helps you understand a lillte more.

Thank you @habalala I appreciate your fast response! I still don't understand if we're able to plant these refined crops. Or are we just supposed to apply the early bloomer, for example, when planting? Sorry if I sound stupid, I'm just trying to figure out how to do this and I don't understand it at all lol. That's excellent that an 18 hour crop can go down to 12 hours with early bloomer!
    :)

    You're welcome.

At the start, when you go to the greenhouse you can see which refinements you have won and are available for each crop.
In the Plant Refinery (the other tab in the greenhouse) you can add any of the available refinements. Once done so, it works everytime you use that crop. Nothing extra to do. It's like a buff which works 24/7 forever, untill you delete it. :)
Everyone has 4 free slots, so 4 refinements can be used at any time. Some choose to do 4 refinements on 1 crop, others 1 refinement on 4 crops (or any mix of that).

EDIT: o_Ops .. Sorry mods, didn't notice this was posted in GI. I'm out of here!

    Hello gardengal :)

Once you have gotten a refinement that you wish to use in the greenhouse, click on the Plant Refinery Tab. In a 'free' space, click on 'Add' and you can select the crop and refinement you want to use. The refinement is automatically applied when you plant you seeds. There is nothing else you need to do.

    May I assist you further?

Edit: I must have been typing at the same time as habalala.:)
