Please make Baby Boom more interesting.

My all time favorite mini event is Baby Boom Day. But even I am a little bored with it. I wish the developers could mix it up a bit. How about each day of BBD making 1 mainland and 1 baha animal have increased skips than the rest?
Then we farmers would have to try to figure out which animal it is that have increased skips! On Friday it would be 1 animal, Saturday another....and so on. I believe it would encourage players to breed more and chat more in the forum about which animal it is. Possibly it could be different animals for differnt players?

Another question I have is why are we having a Breeding Farm Coin Palooza without the benefit of BBD? I, for one, will not breed outside of BBD. Even the lure of Farm Coins will not entice me.

I think this idea is a win, win for BP. More PF sales and more breeding and more PF sales, etc.

 

My thoughts exactly Brooke! Thanks for bringing it up. The way it is now is ludicrous.
Extra coins the minute Babyboom ends - ba-humbug - BP we will not buy it!!

 

I agree Brooke that BB needs to be more interesting! PF is costly to make and to buy, so like you I only breed during a Baby Boom! BP you need to make better skips for one thing, as when people get good skips they like to come to the forum and tell their fellow farmers about their good fortunes! Then in turn "we" are more likely to breed more ourselves hence needing and buying more Power feed! Just a thought!

 

Thanks baw & hatzeva and sanddollar for your support of this idea! I completely agree sanddollar....if I read that a player has had a fabulous skip of an animal....I immediately go to breed that animal..thus spending more pf!!!

Without any changes or improvements....BBD's are just blah for me now.

 

I think we can all agree whether players spend money on PF or not that Baby boom needs some tweaking. Breeding events take so much PF and unless you have the mill subscription or purchase PF, it can be hard to have enough to work with. More and better skips are needed in Baby boom.

I also agree completely that Farm Coin Palooza should be at the same time as Baby boom.

 

Agree Brookham, as it is now the Baby Boom is not as fun as it used to be. The breeding events are a bit meh. What you breed is what you need to donate. I'd like it if they just made a bit more skips, and the guessing game sounds fun as well. Was so fun when you harvest the breeding pens and hoped for a skip. Now I don't even bother to check.

 

Couldn't agree more, Brooke. I'd also like baby boom without breeding events more often. BBDoom has been a curse of my farm recently with little to no skips and the tree rune not working as well as it used to either it would seem. Just disappointing.

 

When I started playing I had the vision to be able to finish any or all of the breeding FSQ, in time ofcourse. By now, two years later and mainly due to the lack of decent skips, I am about to give up on those FSQ. The time and efforts it takes to collect outdated and very poor, rewards on the high end breeding FSQ seem to contribute towards the negative feel about breeding in general and its related events. I mean .. for example, a FSQ reward of 188.000 EP and 4.4m CC for turning in 3 Picasso Horses is an insult, isn't? The CC gained barely are enough to buy a single Knight Horse in todays market (and we'll need like 80 of those for 1 single Picasso Horse)

To keep breeding interesting something related to breeding definately has to be tweaked in favour of the players. My random pop-up suggestions on the idea Brooke kindly shared:
*Bring back the skips as they were two years ago
*Update the breeding FSQ rewards to current game standards, compensate the players already finished
*Introduce breeding on every animal which is or becomes available. I have no clue nor see any reason not to be able to breed all animals
*Besides getting a decent skip every now and then the reward for a succesfull breeding could also turn out to be PF, BB, Crate or any other farm goodie. I forsee plenty of new Mini-Breeding-Events ahead
*Introduce cross-breeding.. interesting new and special (FSQ) animal species could be the result

Thanks for Bringing it up Brookeham, it did crossed my mind a while ago to bring it up as Baby Boom is no longer giving us great skips,like it use to be. There are almost non existent most of the time.

There are total of 8 levels of breeding per Animal. Getting a level 7 or level 8 from Level 1 or Level 2 is non existent now. Which we hardly ever get to see these Animals listed in the Markets at reasonable price. It been a while now we see a lack of breeding animals listed in the Markets.

Talking of Breeding Animals in the Markets the prices are much higher than it use to be few years ago. If I recall correctly we did have Events that reward us a Level 7 or Level 8 Breeding Animal, Which is huge help for us to work or complete breeding quests.

The number of breeding quests to complete, is getting to almost impossible to complete due to lack of decent or fantastic skips i truly miss posting in Forum of Farmers getting Fab Skips during BB. It would be lovely that it will come back to what it use to be. As we badly need to huge boost to breeding markets as i dislike to see most of markets is empty of higher level breeding animals most of the time. The only time it gets lively is during BB or Breeding Events..

I like to see the Baby Boom Rune which is suppose to give an Extra Breeding Animal it no where near the claim it works at 20% of our consumed PF. This is huge let down too !!

i dislike the Idea of gaining badges or Farm Coins during Breeding. It really put a huge blow that prevents us getting the chance of Huge Skip..

It has been many many month since i last completed a Breeding Quest. We also need these high level breeding animals to be able to Craft a Pink or Neon Stable or Workshop too...

 

I completely agree - I only breed for events and then, usually, only when there is a BB.

I have all but one of the breeding FSQs at varying levels (I did actually finish the Bat breeding FSQ - I can't remember how I did it! Must have been a fluke! ) but they are not on my current favourites cos I have no hope (nor intention in the foreseeable future) of donating to them unless I particularly need something from the prizes. But as I have gleaned most of the PF I can get from them without bankrupting my farm, they rest covered in cobwebs and untouched.

Totally agree with you Brooke and all the other posters, make breeding fun again!

 

Add me to the list disearning voices, although Im a newish player about 1 year now. Having read that BBD is advertised of a way of gaining a higher level animal this last baby boom I never recieved an animal higher than 1 level.
If you improve this people will buy powerfeed and enjoy this mini event if they can see they are getting rewarded

Here! Here! I agree with much that has been stated. I, myself only breed during BabyBoom. I'm a pretty poor farm when it comes to BBs so my feed is limited to what I can make and what I win. I would LOVE to see some skips. It's very slow going for me and I'm getting discouraged. I set up the breeding and when it's done I run the harvester and like others, I don't even check to see what I got unless I have more feed and then I only look to see what I can try for next.
I would love to make some upgrades but I do not get any skips to do so. Because I'm working to make upgrades (suppose to begging people to send me some during G&T when I don't really have anything to offer and I'm sure they have worked hard to make them) doing FSQ might as well be in outer space

Instead of so many new events, it would be fantastic if BP would re-tool the ones we already have..... like BBD!!!!!

I agree wholeheartedly with all the posts above. I use to like BBD but not so much now.
Come on BP stop being so mean.

 

Let me jump on this bandwagon. It seems to me that when they upgraded the breeding procedure they lowered the number of possible skips. Almost as if to say there must be suffering somewhere since we have made the process easy we will make the outcomes harder.

This makes no logical sense to me. As it is I tend to only breed what I have to during an event with perhaps one other long term breeding project on the side. However with the absence of skips and the increase in upper level stables and workshops as prizes why would I choose to breed more?

As it is I have a better chance right now of winning a new pink or red stall on the farm wheel rather than breeding to build one. The only breeding FSQ's I've done have been up to level 6 and then I needed the stars as I was a new player. Now there are so many other ways to get stars I wouldn't even have done that.

So I agree with the above suggestions:

Increase our skip chances

The option of their being a "mystery" skip every day of the BBD is fairly intriguing and would certainly increase excitement.

Update the breeding FSQ prizes to reflect in game market inflation of breeding animals.

Either do away with the extra prizes such as farm coins or include them in the BBD. They are not enough of an enticement to use up precious PF.

While we are at it how about lowering the mill time of PF?

None of these suggestions would keep people from spending real money or cause them to leave the game, which should be your only concern. They would also not throw off the balance of the game. I believe they would do the opposite.

 

I like to add one more thing to BPs Farmerama high priority to do for breeding enjoyment- list: upgrade the initial dynamic selling prices for the high level breeds. Quite a few old and new high level breeds, level 7 and 8, never ever make it to the market (and are only in extreme cases used for pen/workshop upgrades .. especially since we are able to gain those by Farmwheel and Events) due to the fact the initial pricing is way to low for the effort, time and amount of PF it takes getting the breed. Even way back when decent skips still did occur this was the case. Just to name a very few examples of never to be seen brreds on the market: Maksed Cuckoo, Encino Beaver (both "old" breeding animals), Rainbow Frog, Exotic Elephant (both "new" breeding animals).

For sure I'll put up an extra smile towards any improvement.

I think we all agree a re-vamp of BBD would be greatly appreciated by most of us farmers!!!!

 

There is a several reasons to why Level 7 or 8 Breeding Animals hardly or never make it into the market.

1) Getting a Level 7 or Level 8 Breeding Animal from Base Animals or Level 1 Breeding, has no become so rare during breeding events, during BB or Not. It got to point it no longer happens

2) Even if someone does get Level 8 Breeding Animal, especially newer breeding animals. It is not worth Listing due to limitations dynamic selling prices due to lack of Listing of Level 8 Breeding Animal, which keeps dynamic selling price down, making farmers hold onto them until Dynamic Selling price is lifted

3) There are several listings of Level 7 Breeding Animal that is too high to our liking, their are times they can be sold for more than Level 8 Breeding Animal, which is not fair at all

4) Do to Shortage of Level 8 Breeding Animals, One of reasons for this they are needed to make a Neon Pens. Since the Introduction of Neon Stables they are hardly listed in the markets these days !!

There are rumours of New Breeding Runes in The Trees of Wisdom, Fingers Cross they will be great benefit to us
