Pop-up is blocking access to a baby farm

ID#53609572 Please help me get rid of a pop-up from a 3rd party wanting to store unlimited information on my computer!! **This pop-up has been blocking entrance to one of my baby farms for WEEKS, and it will not respond to the 'Deny' option.** It is using Adobe Flash Player to access my computer as a 3rd party(I read the information, which it did allow).** I DO NOT WANT, AND WILL NOT GRANT SUCH ACCESS TO MY COMPUTER!!

Pleeeeeease, can you Delete this pop-up, and - if you can - keep it from coming back with 3rd party requests...or, better yet - fix the 'Deny' button so that it actually Works??? Please, please, please??!!

Not a mod but does the pop-up look something like this?



If so, this is a known issue with Adobe Flash Player. I think it has to do with their anti-clickjacking logic, which is a security measure put in place to protect users from a vulnerability that let's an attacker trick users into clicking on malicious content by making them think they're clicking on a legitimate button.

Unfortunately, it sometimes leads to false positives where it won't recognize the pop-up as valid if there are things moving in the background because it can't be sure that the dialog isn't being obscured by something malicious; this makes the pop-up unresponsive when you click on it.

The easiest way to get around it is to get rid of the pop-up altogether. You can do this by either allowing all sites to store information on your computer, or blocking all sites from storing information on your computer in your Local Storage Settings.

If privacy is what you're worried about, it's better to allow all sites by default and then use private browsing or incognito mode to view sites that rely on flash, since any data stored in Flash Player local storage during a private browsing session will be cleared when that session ends.

Blocking all sites, on the other hand, offers no real benefit in terms of privacy and has the added disadvantage of degrading user experience (i.e., sites relying on flash may not work as intended).

To allow all sites by default, right-click on the game screen and select Global Settings, which will bring up the Flash Player Settings Manager. Under the Storage tab, select Allow sites to save information on this computer.

If you want to keep your settings but deny permission for this specific third party site, let me know and I'll post further instructions here.

Btw, is this third party site mylittlefarm-171.bpsecure.com, by any chance?

 

You have got it e-x-a-c-t-l-y, zerodegrees!! And yes, the third party is 'mylittlefarm'..etc. And yes, I'd like to keep my settings but deny permission for this specific third party site!! Even if it's from BP. (I have allowed them specified amounts of storage, but not unlimited.)

You will see that as zerodegrees stated, that "Farmerama" may have been replaced on the Adobe setting with "mylittlefarm-171.bpsecure.com" since the address was changed to https and is not a 3rd Party site. This is due to that when Farmerama was in it's testing phase, the Game was given a nickname. This is perfectly safe to allow, as it was before, and will need to be done to stop the Adobe pop up from re-appearing.

Perhaps so, but there is an 'i' (information) icon on the pop-up in which it says that it is a third party. Nevertheless, I do not, and have not ever granted Farmerama, BP, or anyone else 'unlimited' access to my computer. Farmerama requested a finite amount before, and I allowed that. And I will allow it again as long as it is reasonable - but not 'unlimited. That is a ridiculous request. Imho.

Please do not close - still waiting for 0-degrees offered info....

 

If you want to allow Farmerama to store information on your computer but simply want to limit the amount of disk space it can use (and don't mind changing a couple of settings):

Open the Control Panel and click on Flash Player, which will bring up the Flash Player Settings Manager.

Note: I'm assuming you're on Windows but if not, tell me what OS you're using and I'll help you find the Flash Player Settings Manager on your system. Or you can Google it.

Under the Storage tab, click on the Local Storage Settings by Site button.

Look through the list of previously visited websites and make sure mylittlefarm-171.bpsecure.com is not listed. If it is, select it from the list and click on the Remove button at the bottom.

Then go to this link:

This will bring up the Global Storage Settings panel where you can specify the amount of disk space websites can use to store data. Try increasing it to 1 MB or 10 MB by moving the slider to the right.

Now go to the Farmerama website and load your baby farm to see if the issue is fixed.

If that doesn't work or you just want to go ahead and block Farmerama:

Open your Control Panel and click on Flash Player.

Under the Storage tab, click on the Local Storage Settings by Site button.

Select mylittlefarm-171.bpsecure.com from the list of previously visited websites.
Under When the selected site wants to use local storage, select Block from drop-down menu.

If the site is not listed, click the Add button.
Copy and paste mylittlefarm-171.bpsecure.com into the text box where it says Website Domain.
Under When this site wants to use local storage, select Block from the drop-down menu.
