Posting the Event FAQ and preview calendar

first of all the event preview calendar should also be posted in the event faq forum, and the one for the current month should be highlighted and put on top so it can be more easily visible

posting the event faq should be done at specific times
either right after the event starts or always an exact time before the event ( like 24 hour for ex )

because posting the event faqs at random intervals especially before the starting of an event gives unfair advantage to people who have allot of time to scan the forum all day long

 

It's my understanding the mods post it when they receive the FAQ information. If I understand your one statement, you suggest to post faq after event has started. I, for one, def would not that at all. And I believe there are some players who receive faq info earlier than us due to a special achievement they have completed. I could be wrong about that part but if I am correct what should be done about them?

 

Sorry, i don't agree. The mods work very hard for us, and you stating what should or should not be done at a certain time.... well.... i'm sorry, i just don't agree. I think the mods do a great job, and bp sends the information when it sends it. Not all countries receive that at the exact same time,...so i suggest you go complain to the top managers of BP.

THEY might be able to explain to you that they are the ones deciding the when and how, not us.

 

Someone will always have an advantage no matter when the FAQ is out due to rl activities!

I see your point though - some might find it nice if the FAQ is always released at the same time before an event, if of course you are one of the lucky ones to actually have the time for reading it at this exact time - if not then it really doesn't matter, does it?

It doesn't bother me that I don't know when. The FAQ is usually released some time during the afternoon the day before the event starts and that is good enough for me to know

 

I've found that in general the event FAQs are posted at approximately 24 hours before the event start except on rare occasions (when Mods are waiting to receive it themselves). Knowing this I check the forum at about the same time each day for "Announcements".

 

Some people seem to have nothing better to do, and then complain about it

 

I have also found that they are posted around 12-24 hours. This is important for people like myself who are outside Europe as we are in a completely different time zone. Some people on here are on a different day to Germany. Which most of the time is taken into account. Sometimes there is a Baby Boom announcement out of the blue (I remember a 2 hour one that I missed because I had uni) but most of the time these things are known well in advance and run according to the calendar.
