Problem planting trees

I bought two 'enhanced' trees but every time I try to plant them my screen goes fuzzy and the planting doesn't "take." Is there a secret to this that I don't know about?

Do you mean you bought "upgrades" for trees? If so the XL or XXL upgrades need to be placed on a "Base" tree first.

Ahh, I see... so that means I lose the original "base" tree, right? Well geez, that doesn't seem fair. Thanks for the response, I'll do that now.

 

You do not loose the base tree. When an upgraded tree is deleted from your field, it separates into the base + upgrade into your tree inventory.

I had hoped I would get a second tree using the upgraded tree but didn't understand how it worked. This game is fun but it is NOT very intuitive. I played ~edit~ for quite a while and it was much easier to understand and use... ah, well, I'll just stick with the basics and forget about doing fancy stuff (e.g., greenhouse and enhancements and whatnot).
