I was told to say something about the Winter Calendar in the 'Feedback' but Im not allowed to post there, so Im posting what I need to say here - if its the wrong place, I apologize.

First, I have 2 farms.. My main or first farm - shetaz71 and my second - Goddessofkaos. When I come into farmerama the first farm I go to is shetaz71, then onto my other.

I was so happy to open these stockings and see what I was getting, but on day 2, I spazed. I completely forgot about the time zone between the USA and Germany. I missed day 2 and had to pay to open it. OK, no problem, I just have a set time now that I will open the stockings. So, like any good farmer, I did that. And then it started with stocking #8.. I open it, harvest everything and then move to farm 2. I open my stockings first thing. Open #8 there as well. The next day I open #9 on both farms.. harvest. Its complete routine. I go in on day 10 and notice I have 2 blue + next to stockings 8-9. It says I didn't open them. That's impossible. Stocking 8 is a venom that I have in my pantry! I got the gift but it says I have to pay again. #9 is the same thing. I saw the coin go into my bank.. I watched it! So, I said something in the forum, was told I didn't get anything and I need to pay. I sent an email to support and was also told too bad... pay up if u want the gifts. On farm 2.. how odd that #8 was open but #9 was also locked. Now, why would I NOT open #8 on the main farm and open it on my second? I wasn't able to get into either farm on the 27th because my internet service was down for 10 hrs and by the time it was back up, it was too late to get that stocking without paying for it. I get that.. I paid. But when I went into my second farm, #25 was locked! Again.. why would I open it on one farm and not the other? Both were open day 26.. I get into the farms on day 28 and its locked on one farm. I pay 13 BB to open it (after I send to support), check farm 1 to see if its gone on that one too, come back and its locked again on farm 2!! It locked 3 times!! It said I had to pay again!! It wouldn't unlock! I had 48 BB, I spent 13 which left me with 35 BB. I didn't get the gift but unlocked it twice.

This calendar has a glitch. I know it and so do many other farmers. The moderators will not believe any of us that we did unlock the stockings. They all think we are lying about it. Why would we? I paid for the stockings I needed to pay because I forgot one and couldn't get in to collect. So, if I wanted to lie about it I'd say all 4 stockings were already opened and the calendar had cheated me on 4 not 2. Where is the help for the farmers? Is it so hard to believe we have a glitch here? Just because 1000 farmers have not complained, doesn't mean u don't have a problem. U do. Is it so difficult for a moderator to pass this on to support to let them know, Hey, we have an issue here? The reason u don't have 1000 farmers complaining is they already know NO help is coming their way so why say anything. We come to the moderators for help and get slapped in the face every time we do.

As you know I to had an issue and got told exactly the same as others from both Mods (who are blameless and get told what to say from others above) and support. The email from support is exactly the same as last years email.
I was informed to write on the feedback but there is no feedback to put down our thoughts.
Others will say its only 1 day and I forgot to open gift but the day I had an issue (day 7)I would of noticed on day 8 there was a problem but it was not until day 10 that the blue cross to signify that day has not been opened appeared. Then all the usual speel started with forum and support.
We get told there would be thousands of complaints if there is an issue, it only requires 1 person to have a problem for there to be an issue so I dont buy that from BP.
People have admitted on some days they have forgotten to open gift, but we are diligent and make sure we get into a routine to ensure we do not encounter these issues as we had them last year.
I dont know the answer in getting BP to believe us as we have no way in prooving that we are not dishonest, some suggest we take a screenshot I am unable to do that on my tablet....unless you who are more tech minded can enlighten me on that.
BP, when they give out compo packages, always say they want game to be fun...its not FUN been told you are a LIAR.
Hopefully we will get others responding to this thread so BP can see our feelings on this glitch......unless thread gets closed then that prooves there is an issue

Thank u for the reply, Phoenixboy12. To make the game better, get rid of the Mods and bring in a 'higher up' that has the power to make things right for the farmers. Or, give that power to the Mods. All they do is reply by a script to any issue u may have so why are they here? The only power they have is to close the threads. It isn't fair to us (and it isn't fair to Mods).
Yes, I'm very angry at their lack of concern when something goes awry. U get made to feel u are a liar on here. I still feel horrible for the one that was told he didn't open up a weeks worth of stockings.. that just cant be. In every post Ive written on here I've made it very clear that I forgot #2 on both farms. I also said that I had to pay for #27 b/c I had no internet access and that was fine. Wasn't the games fault for that. But for the other stockings the calendar cheated me on... not fair. If there wasn't a glitch or I wasn't sure about opening, why am I fighting so hard?
I didn't do any screen shots. Simply didn't think Id need to! Now, its to late. I don't need to take any as the calendar is over and this 'problem' of the calendar will also be over. Support wont care, they never did. Im still waiting for a reply from them.
The game isn't fun anymore. They want too much for menagerie, arboretum, etc.. they don't listen to what we have to say. I don't think they see any of what is being said here except for Moderators. U have a problem and no one cares. I loved coming in here playing the game, farming, and everything that went with it. But not anymore. Im waiting to hear from support and I depending on whether they too, consider me a liar, I will rethink playing and possibly delete both of my farms and go back to ~edit~ advertising of other games is not allowed. At least they believe u when an issue occurs.

BP and Farmerama are really declining rapidly.

Those of us who were here prior to 2015 will remember that the producers and managers would periodically release a newsletter which, amongst other things, addressed the concerns of the community. You can find the last edition of this newsletter here, released in March 2015, in which, ironically, the producer Varun acknowledges that they "wish [they] had listened more" to the complaints of the players, stated that they "were wrong and [they] admit it", identified that they "also failed to communicate" with the players about new releases, and said that they wanted to "take complete responsibility for" the issues with customer satisfaction. Most interestingly, the producer also promised to "focus on doing what we say and work towards the path of restoring trust", because ultimately, "Farmerama belongs to you [the players] and we at Bigpoint are only enablers of your experience".

Since that March 2015 edition, not a single producer's newsletter has been sent to the players. Moreover, the specific issues the producer hopes to address going forward - listening to customers, admitting fault, taking responsibility, ensuring transparency between players and the Farmerama team, doing what they say and restoring trust - have not only not been addressed, but are in fact all areas which have become even worse since early 2015.

Whether the role of producer changed hands or the producer remained in their role but simply decided that transparency and respect was unnecessary, I do not know. What I do know is that every promise made in that newsletter was not only broken, but got 10 times worse, and not a single piece of communication has come to players directly from people in leadership positions since - in nearly 4 years. The management of BP also changed hands, but that was in 2017, long after the game and company began it's rapid decline.

In early 2015, I was adamant that my account had been hacked, or accessed by someone other than myself. Although I did not always have the nicest things to say on the forum, I was not so bad as to send threats to other players via IGM. And yet, apparently people received extremely abusive IGMs from me, which I could see sitting in my outbox despite having never personally written. I contacted Support about it, alerting them to the issue, and was met with "it is impossible to hack into Farmerama accounts". I was accused of writing those messages even though I knew full well I never had. It seemed preposterous to me that it was "impossible" to hack into Farmerama accounts. They do not have state of the art security systems. They are online game accounts. There must be a way. But no - I was blamed for something I didn't do, because what I claimed happened was apparently impossible. Lo and behold, just a few weeks later we got this on the forum - an alert about "malicious attacks". Whether that refers to hacking I do not know, but I do know that they can't be that far apart, and if they can be targeted by malicious attacks, it surely cannot be a stretch to think people gained access to accounts without the account owners knowing. Fantastic customer service from the Support team there.

Mods were once fun-loving community members here. They would host forum games and partake in the (now gone) chat room with other players, and like older siblings, they were our equals with just a little more responsibility for maintaining peace and providing guidance. Now they provide brief, scripted responses that don't address the questions we ask, at least not in the detail we require, close threads at the slightest deviation and are the mouths (or keyboards) by which the game team can blame players for their own problems and refuse to accept responsibility for their mistakes. Interesting, given their last known communication with us promised to better this. I don't blame the mods for this, but I do wonder what BP holds over them that makes it so easy for them to lose their common sense and humanity.

Something has changed, and I don't know what it is, but I am disillusioned with this game. I am thankful now more than ever that I have never given a scrap of my money to a company that is clearly incapable of offering it's customers some basic respect.

BP has always been money hungry and it has been a pretty common theme throughout the majority of the 9 years I've been here that they'll make changes to encourage players to spend more. Frequent events, the need for buffs, the high PF requirements (to name a few) are all ways the company sucks money from our pockets. I didn't think they'd go so low as to deliberately force players to spend money. It seems to me that they either have a glitch that quite conveniently earns them a little more cash (so they won't acknowledge it or fix it), or even worse, they're deliberately closing doors so players have to spend BBs to reopen them. The more players needing to spend BBs, the more players buying BBs. I knew they were greedy, I didn't know they were blatantly corrupt. But I can't see any alternative explanation, because no well-run company takes dozens of the same complaint, blames them all on the customers, and refuses to fix the issue. It seems they haven't even looked into the problem.

Thank u Squiggle, for this very informative reply. I truly thought it was only me and 2 others 'against the world'. This isn't the first time I've had issues with BP. I've had BB's disappear from my account twice and no one would help or even tell me what they were spent on. They told me I never had them in the first place. That's when I decided to stop playing for about a year. My daughter played my farm for me so I wouldn't lose it. I now play hers as she was just fed up with BP's garbage. I couldn't see all her hard work vanish.

Im not advertising another game... Im telling u the Facebook farm game believes when a player has an issue and it doesn't have to be 1000 of them to get them to get support or moderators to believe u. They want the players to have fun in there.. unlike in here where all of us that have an issue are called liars by both of u. They look into the problems, fix them and give u back what the game glitch took.

I had the problem with the calendar very early (I think, it was day 2 or so).. asked in general issues about it.
And I was told, I should have reported it earlier in the day, now, as the day was over, they couldn't do anything.
So I had to pay 8 BB (or even 10) to be able to get the additional gifts.
This calendar was a hot mess, as I can see from the posts above and my own experience.
The prizwes weren't THAT great.. I presume the price for opening a stocking later than supposed was increased.

BP: if you don't want to give something to the players, then just LEAVE it and don't try to fish peoples money out of their purse by creating a mess and let the player pay for it.
Better use the hard earned money we spent in hiring proper game developers so that the game is running smoothly, events are running without ANY kind of bugs and so the game is FUN again. Cos that's what it should be: FUN

And now you can block me or whatever you want to do.. unimportant to me, as the gamers seem to be unimportant to you!

I the problem but didn't report it. I missed two days because I couldn't get into the calendar. I ended up paying BB. I am not thrilled paying BB for glitches, but sometimes I do.
