Pumpkin Pillars Strategy - October 2019

    Difficulty: Medium - Hard

    You can access the event through the news page, event timer and the event building on the tropical lands:

    Event Crop: Melting Shoots - Plantable on the 3 tropical lands (baha, rainforest, crystal falls) only!

    Event Drop: Carving Knife - You will get these drops when harvesting your crops, trees, stables and workshops on the 3 tropical lands (baha, rainforest, crystal falls) only!

    Mill products: Creepy Candle - Ingredients: 320 x Melting Shoots, 25 x Carving Knives
    Skull Candle - Ingredients: 420 x Melting Shoots, 15 x Carving Knives
    Pumpkin Candle - Ingredients: 520 x Melting Shoots, 5 x Carving Knives

    There are 14 pillars of pumpkins to make in total but only 12 are essential to get the decorations and the row.
    Given that it depends on the choices you make according to the selected pumpkin varieties, it is not possible to give you a precise figure for each item.

    Thank you *WisdomTree* for braving and starting this strategy thread. I will decide what to select as soon as I start milling.


    I absentmindedly harvested my baha field before the event started. So lost the drops from that field. Got 224 carving knife from other 2 fields.

    Thank you *Wisdom Tree* for starting this thread - how does one organise strategy when there are so many options! :eek:
    I'm in too. I will choose each pillar and then mill whatever is necessary. :)

    One-Two: I got 285 drops from all three of my fields plus a short term crop harvest since the event started so you are not doing too bad. :)

    This says medium to hard, so it is clearly going to take some effort. I don't see anything outstanding here in the rewards. Am I missing something? A single yellow den is frankly too much trouble for me to put out. The primary use for my yellow pens is to trade them in.

    I'm going to give this one a pass. I still don't have big chunks of the Baha islands unlocked yet and am working on earning enough bananas to get the Lychee tree and bitter ginger. But I'll have fun watching what other players do! :)

    None of my farms are doing this event. Giving myself a well earned break. Good luck to anyone doing this.

    Got 252 drops from two fields of saguaro; pens will finish on crystal falls soon. Best of luck to all participating!:)

    I am so busy right now, that I need a brain numbing event...like this one...so I can just brainlessly click and click without thinking about itxDThe only thing I pay attention to is the daily gift giving!

    In midst of shifting our house. Having a break right now. Dropped in to harvest and plant. Will apply my mind tomorrow and decide the best combination.

    I think I will be a couple of harvests short to get the CR. :wuerg:
    I am almost out of SG and completely out of SSG and hardly any FCs left to buy any! :cry:
    On the plus side, I think I have enough drops to finish! xD
    Oh well, that's the way the cookie crumbles! :music:

    Oh illy ! I got he cloud row just now. I could tide over because I got 200% into barn from one of my spin. May be try some FSQs for SSGs & SGs. I think the amount of crops required in this event is too great. It could have been less. I grew one night of long time normal crops in 2 of my fields for drops.

    :(So sorry illy; maybe you will get a lucky wheel spin to help. Yes, this was an event when crops were the problem, not the drops.

    Back on track. Did a couple of rounds of Recyclomat, got enough FCs to buy some SG and SSG and hopefully, all things being equal, I will get the CR just before the end of the event. Just wish it was a day longer so I could finish the whole thing. Still, can't have everything! :p

    CR claimed plus the first level or two on the next pumpkins until it required the event crop again lol! Season points and mystery trees for the taking. :music:
    Now must remember to go to the CR now! xD
