Feedback Question Tuesday CW5: Mini Events

I like being able to trade unnecessary trees in for a chance to get a different one or and upgraded tree but would like it better if you could accumulate points instead of just having the spaces available and also if you there would be times when you could specify the item you wanted to receive in exchange.

 

I like all mini events, but Trans-seedlantic and G&T are my absolute favorites

 

I voted for "I like all mini events" but need to clarify this further as it was the one that was the best (but not perfect) fit for me.

Gift & Trade - I love this event. I feel that it is a fantastic opportunity to both get rid of items you no longer need or want, in exchange for something you could make good use of (that it's previous owner no longer needs or wants). However, I feel that the trade licenses (are these still part of the event?) are very restrictive in how much exchange can occur and I know that in the one event I participated in, I couldn't get rid of half the stuff I wanted to either because it wasn't able to be traded or I didn't have enough licenses.

Renzo - perhaps my favourite mini event of them all. I think that the prizes are fantastic and, having found a strategy for me that gives me maximum chips per ticket almost every time, I can generally get some great prizes. I do feel, though, that a mere four tickets per day is a bit small. Even if you get the full 20 chips on each ticket, that's only 80 chips per day. Very few of the prizes, if any, are below 80 chips in worth, so many players won't be able to make any purchases for a few months (it will take multiple Renzo's to get enough chips) - especially if they either can't be around to play on both days of the event, or can't get maximum chips per ticket. I recognise that there are ticket packs that can be purchased for a Barnyard Bill fee, but if one is a non-paying player, they are incredibly pricey, even for a small pack. Those BBs will take months to rebuild in the cinema, if indeed one's cinema works at all.

Recyclomat - never been around for, I presume this is similar to G & T but no one gets the recycled items?

Trans-Seedlantic and San Gigantica - never played confidently but now that I understand the process properly, am looking forward to the next event. Great way to recycle unwanted items to get something better in return! Can't provide any more constructive feedback as I am not experienced enough, but I would like to see these events more often.

 

My vote went to Gift & Trade. I think it's the most useful of these choices, and I think it also encourages communication between players and helps foster a sense of community. It also, simply put, gives new players a better chance to succeed. I agree with other posters who have made comments about the licenses and the frequency of the event: I feel one of those things needs to change. Either give us many more licenses (so that we can give/get more while the event is active), or keep the same number of licenses and have the event more frequently. Considering the huge amount of events and requirements we've had lately, I fear newer players will see the game as almost impossible. Being able to help by giving them trees and stables would mean less disillusionment for them, and a more satisfied (and larger) customer base for BP.

Other than Renzo, it's been so long since one of these events took place that I've never had the experience of trying them.

 

My favourites aren't on this list, I like Baby Boom and Moonlight Mania the most. Most of the events above aren't really my cup of tea at all (the Expresses & Recyclomat esp.) as they involve so much gambling. The rewards often don't match the input and I usually end up feeling disappointed and a bit like a fool for throwing away my stuff for nothing. Renzo is a nice change, but could use some more mini-games.

 

I've only experienced Renzo, but I'm very much looking forward to all others

 

My favorite is definitely Gift & Trade.
But I miss a lot Trans-seedlantic express. My vote was for it.
Personally, I don't like Recyclo-mat at all. Lame prizes, too much based on luck.
If it ever returns, I sure hope it will be on a different basis, because giving away too many crops for too few prizes is surely not my kind of event.

 

I voted for trans-seedlantic express.
Gift and trade would be good if we had a better way to go thru the pages. There are too many pages with no good offer, some people offer decoration against rare stables, and it is very tedious and time consuming to sort thru the offers.
I do not know if Baby boom qualify for a mini event but it is my favorite.
San gigantica express is almost as good as trans-seedlantic. express.
Renzo needs to be updated. its always the same 3 games and I'm not very good at it, so my progress are slow.
I do not like recyclomat at all. I tried it the first 2 times we had the event but stopped playing after that.. I gave lots of product and hardly ever got anything worthwhile.

 

all mini events are great and i always love to see what i will get. but we need gift and trade event soon it was been many wonder stables ,orion stables and i bet we all have double stables that we want to trade whit others so plz put gift and trade event soon

 

I like gift and trade. The trains are great, but using normal stables and trees you can't get anything so to me it was pointless as I don't have many upgrades.

 

I voted for gift and trade but my most favorite mini event is Baby Boom and PF sales. Baby Boom including cuckoos is the best of the best in my opinion. The least enjoyable mini event is the one that gives Jumbo animal pens........I almost never use them because in my opinion they take too long and the extra EP does not reflect the time it needs to get it...........One can plant crops that take less time and get more EP.

Strongly agree with all the things you mentioned about Gigantica.

 

I definitely like the BBD if only for the chances of skips and twins and such! And I like Midnight Mania! I love the crops and I like it that we can get stables, items and more with this event. And of course the fact that we get it roughly once a month is very good. It gives me the time to save my crops for the goal I'm trying to fulfill that particular month.
Renzo is okay. It's a fun "in-between" sorta speak.

I haven't experienced any of the other events. From what I've read I think I'll probably like the G & T event a lot (I'm keeping my fingers crossed for one sometime soon). I think I'll like the Trans-Seedlantic express and the San Gigantica events too. Thanks @woody for the warning about the orange stables handing in and getting a yellow one in return. It's good to keep that in mind!

 

Gift and trade, hands down! Besides having the opportunity and pleasure of sharing with others, it also gives us the thrill of finding that surprise offer - that real 'bargain'! This is like the thrill of finding hidden treasure, and the thrill of the hunt for it!
It is true: One man or woman's trash is another's treasure!
Please don't change that part. We just DO need more licenses for giving/trading!

 

Add Baby Boom to the above and you have my vote for the best mini's of all!!

 

I think the winner of this survey was easy to predict from the very start, but I rarely vote for winners
From my point of view it goes like this:

· Gift & Trade – From the very first moment I saw the survey, I could bet that this would be the winner. I know most people, in this many of my friends, loves this event and they are waiting for it eagerly. G&T is very useful. The possibility to exchange things or just to give the things we don’t need to those who can make more use of them, is very nice. I also took part in this event from time to time, but the truth is that I’m not too fond of it. This event have also it’s dark sides and I’ve seen too much of it in the past. Also, with the exchange option that I use most, it is too time consuming, as searching offers in the balloon takes ages. In the past, for some reasons, G&T was always a very busy time for me, so I couldn’t take much advantage of this event. Maybe with the next edition I will have more time for it and will see more of the bright sides of this event?

· Renzo – I used to love it, especially since the Loot Shoot was launched. This game is really lovely for those who don’t have too much time, but want to have some fun and some adrenaline. But as time went by, Renzo become a bit boring for me. This event needs new rewards, maybe a new interesting mini game. Also the changes that were made in the game (reduced number of tickets to start the game for reduced number of chips you can receive) made it less attractive for those who don’t have too much time. In the past I used to play in the harder version of Loot Shoot. It took 6 tickets, so I got rid of them much faster, but with some luck I also had a chance to get more chips and at the end have a nice time I Renzo shop anyway. Now it’s much more time consuming and because of that also a bit boring.

· Recyclomat – hard to explain why, but I love this event from the very start and I miss it very much. I usually don’t complain about drop items, but with the Nublon batteries I never have enough of them They are pretty expensive in the shop, so buying them is also not the best solution, as I could spend thousands of them in the recycling machine Using Recyclomat don’t take too much time, but some of the rewards are pretty nice. For example, as the EP lover I always noticed that this event let mi level up a bit quicker

· Trans-Seedlantic Express – at first I was very skeptical with this event. Trees that takes 4 small fields, when we already have a huge lack of space on the farm? That just can’t work! But after a while I changed my mind. Jumbo trees, especially those XXL ones gives really nice EP and some useful goods. I’m eagerly waiting for this event to get some more of them

· San Gigantica Express – I hardly keep stables on my farm. Most stays in the inventory for ages and I take them out only when they are required for some events. Jumbo stables and also not attractive for me. I know that breeding animals are now required in some events, but I prefer to breed them during BB as Jumbo stables requires too much time and space.

· I like all mini events – In fact this answer is close to the truth. Although I like some events less than others, all the above mentioned events are useful for some players and all should return on regular basis.

· I don't like mini events – Are you kidding? What will we do without nice mini events?

Anyway… my vote goes to… Recyclomat…, for one main reason. From what I remember, we are waiting for this event for more than a year Meanwhile we had all other mentioned above mini events, but Recyclomat was totally forgotten

P.S. It’s not on the list, but there is one more event that is very awaited, and hasn’t happen already for about half a year. This is Happy Tree day. I think many are also waiting for it impatiently
