Hello, not sure if this is the correct place to post this. I have a question about the pricing of an item in the Farmer's Market. I have a Rainbow Peacock I want to sell, the market calculates the price at 3,606,815.04 which seems low to me as the bird required to make half the pink stall. No other Rainbow Peacocks are available to buy, if I push the slider to maximum I can put the bird to market at 6,311,926.32.

When I look at other Peacocks in market, there are two Joker Peacocks for sale, priced 11,689,158.99 and 12,000,000. The Joker Peacock is two steps lower down on the breeding schedule. Magical Peacocks, three steps lower on the ladder are all available for more than the maximum I can ask for my Rainbow Peacock. Can I ask how this is possible?

I should add, I have used my stars to unlock the Market Fairy rune on the Tree of Wisdom.

Many thanks, I apologise in advance if this is the wrong place.

    Hello Stinkerton,

Due to the Dynamic Market, listing price is based on demand. If no Rainbow Peacocks are being offered, the selling price will stay low. This is the case for most top breeding animals, they are not being sold due to the low listing prices :( As you can see from the Market, it is more profitable to sell the lower level breeding peacocks.

    Can I assist you further?

Hello, thank you for the speedy reply.

I understand, the price is set by demand, however I was able to market a Polka Turkey (which holds equal rank) for 30,000,000 despite no other birds of that type being available. I breed up to pink stalls and workshops a lot, Turkeys was my last project and I was in a position to market the Polka at something close to 50,000,000 if I chose. I didn't because, you know, nobody is paying 50,000,000 for a turkey

I have a series of further questions, but it's perhaps unfair to ask them... Can I ask just one, understanding that my actions as a buyer of breeding animals will also inflate the price if I buy a number of the same animals in a short space of time; how dynamic is the market? If no animal is sold (or offered?) for an inflated amount, how long until the price cools?

Once again, I appreciate your previous reply, thank you :)

I do not know the cooling off period before the Market fluctuates. If several of one type are bought at the same time, the price will rise. Once no more of that item is being bought, the price will drop. This can happen in one day if the buying demand outweighs the offers being placed.

Can I assist you with anything further?

The market dynamic works like this: The price is possibly adjusted every 15 minutes. If in the last 15 minute interval more sales have been made above the suggested market price, the price is increased by 2%. If more sales have been made below the suggested market price, the price is decreased by 2%. If all sales have been made exactly at the suggested price, or if no sales have been made, the price stays the same.

This info is from the DE teamleader, I can try and search for the link later.

Edit: I have also tested for myself that it actually works like this.
