Randomly Being Logged Out

This happens to me every single day - I will be playing the game, and the site will randomly log me out in the middle of play. It seems to be like clockwork, every 12 hours or so the game logs me out for no reason - even if I am in the middle of doing something. I could understand if I had the game window open and was idle for several hours but if I am actually USING the game it is extremely, extremely frustrating!!

Yes, I have tried clearing my cache numerous times. Nothing helps.

Does Farmerama have settings that will log you out if your IP changes? I am using a VPN. If so, are there settings to shut that off to stop the game from logging you out if your IP changes?

 

I do not know if that would be the cause of your continual log outs. Are your browser and Flash player running the latest version? If you post your ID#, I can try to clear your server cache also,

Sorry to step in... but may I add I too get this to happen to me.. I thought it was because i stay on a lot. But i can even log out and back in.. and wham.. Or even stay offline and it does it.. Maybe as you say @shooger.sweet maybe our cache needs cleaning? I don't know. But to let the OP know I am using a laptop and don't think my IP changes... Also cable like net speed.

To the OP least you have a time when it happens.. I just learned to deal with it... doesn't happen all the time for me.. But it does.

 

This has been happening to me since I joined two years ago. it happens whenever the Pirate Cove resets, and about four times a day otherwise. I have cleared my caches and have also just learned to live with it.
It always says Logout Complete> When In fact I did not log out. Many times I'm in the middle of something and have to start over again.

This also happens to me. Usually once a day. It often happens if my computer has gone to sleep and I've woken it up again, although this isn't always the case.

 

The farm will log you out after a certain time of inactivity. This is normal.

So how long is the inactivity? Because as I said in my original post, I get logged out in the MIDDLE of actually PLAYING the game, not while I am inactive.

As your original post states, and fellow players also report, the game does log players out every 12 hours or so. It does seem to happen with inactivity, as well as having the browser open and playing at regular intervals throughout the day. To eliminate this happening while in the middle of active play, please log out and back in after several hours when you are waiting to play again.

This would help, if I hadn't already tried doing that to combat the annoying middle of play logout numerous times. It still happens.

If you don't know why the site actually does it besides some arbitrary "inactivity", which is very vague when it happens in the middle of play (so either the site is not actually recognizing that a user is playing/has started playing again to reset that "inactivity" clock or it is purposely forcing users to logout after 12 hours regardless of whether they are full on playing that 12 hours straight through, which is just utter NONSENSE), just say admit that.

And no, as you haven't actually helped me do anything differently than what I have been frustratingly doing all along, you can lock this thread. Thank you anyway.
