Restore function malfunction

I used the Restore function to restore Crystal falls on which I had an upgraded menagerie. When it restored, it went back to the previous animals (red elephants and parrots), but did not return 2 of the crabs that were temporarily replacing them. It did return 1 zebra and 1 crane that were also replacements, and probably 2 other animal replacements as well which I have forgotten what they were. But the 2 missing crabs, recently won on a pick-a-stable, are completely gone.

The way the Restore function works is that it saves an arrangement you have on the field. If you change the configuration, you have to save again in order for it to restore at a later time. It also will let you know if it is not able to restore all your items. The layout you currently have on Crystal Falls is what you saved.

During the Pick A Stable Spree, you may have selected the crab as one of your choices, but the stable you actually won was not a crab.
Your logs show you received Tortoise, Lion, Deer and Kangaroo.

That is the wrong pick-a-stable.

The one I played was specifically to win the crab, and I was successful and very happy about it. I placed them in the menagerie when I cleared the field to grow event crops. And - before restoring I checked again and they were still there.

Please check again for the correct pick a stable. These are very important to me.

My Norton Security interrupted to do an automatic quick clean and restore shortly before I did the field-specific restore. I had Norton set to March, 2019. Could that have somehow affected it because it was before I had the crab stables?? But when I checked right before restoring, they still showed there!

(This is a mystery! Where is Inspector Mouseau when one needs him??!! Lol)

 

As your Game name does not match your forum name, can you please check the ID# supplied to make sure it is indeed the Farm you are checking.

If the ID# is correct, as Farmers.Almanac stated, you did not win a Crab Pool in any of the Pick-A-Crate Sprees where Crabs were offered. I am not sure how you could have harvested any Crab Pools, as you have no Crabs in your Barn.

Yes, the ID number is correct.

Unless we are both hallucinating- and I do not do drugs or hallucinate - I cannot fathom how this could be correct. I played the pick a stable game just because it offered the crab stable as I had been wanting them for a long while - and it was the first stable I won!! This almost never happens, so I am not apt to forget such a thing!!

I also was very careful to load them into the menagerie after clearing the field for event crops, and then checking to be sure they were there - 'just because'.

The only thing that makes any sense, at least that I am aware of, is the possibility that Norton's initial action (which automatically took over as I was changing the menagerie back) might then have wiped them out as my computer returned to March, 2019. It was initially operating in the background at the same time I was working on the menagerie. Nothing else makes any sense.

Do you perhaps have more than one farm that you could have gotten them mixed up? If you have another farm that you wish us to check, please provide your ID#.

Your game logs are stored with BP and not on your computer, so any issue you would have had with Norton has no impact on the results of your Pick A Stable Spree.

I'm sorry this is disappointing news, but there is no record of this farm having a crab stable.

I am playing only this farm and it's parent farm, and that one has had crab stables for a long time, does not need them, and they are still there. There is no mixup.

It would appear that this is one glitch that will remain unsolved.
