Rewards From Bunnies In Hoppy Easter Event

lily, I've tried shrinking the tiger lily but I think it will be too small for a good avatar once down below the max kb. The bouquet one provided by davidb1yth007 though is 9.52kb as is and should work well.

 

Google 'lilies in bloom' or 'unicorns' or whatever...
expand 'more images'
right click over the one you want -to show pixels - you need one with about 400 x 400 or so (or 300 x 500)
right click over (again) - select 'copy image URL' (this stores some gobbledegook code for your picture)
make new entry to forum - this will be a second entry so you can read this...
In the toolbar with Home /Forums....etc... left click on farmlily3 ...
on dropdown menu leftclick on 'avatar'
leftclick on 'choose file' (a box will open)
in 'file name'... rightclick 'paste' - your gobbledegook will appear
leftclick 'open'
.....wait......wait.... upload successful will flash across your screen....
leftclick ok!
leftclick ok

 

There, now right click and save to your computer - under maximum size allowed for avatar so should work this time. If it doesn't, we'll try again.

Sewinglady, it is so nice of you to take time out of your busy Saturday to help me. Would you mind doing it with the bouquet of lilies that David posted instead?? They are the same colors as the siggy that TCR has made, and would blend well. That photo you found is absolutely stunning, and I'm making a copy of it for possible future reference. I have learned to make copies and save them....just can't move them from there!! LOL!! Oh well...one of these days! I'll get by...'With a little help from my friends'...

Lily, that image that David found is 243x208 and so it should be just about perfectly sized already. You should be able to save it to your computer and then have the board pull it up as the avatar and click okay. It's a pretty small image to start with so shouldn't be a problem. If it won't work, let me know.

 

I'm just about ready to pull my hair o-u-t!! I've tried everything - nothing works. The siggy is "6 lines too long"...and nothing I do changes it. When I right click, I do not get the things that I'm supposed to click on. When I left click - the same. I even finally used the snipping tool to make it smaller - but then it wouldn't save the changes. Why are my options different? They aren't the ones I'm supposed to be clicking. I tried to go in a back door in desperation, but that just sent it to my computer files, and I couldn't get it to come out again.
I love you guys for trying so much to help me, but this has become so stressful that I have to take a break from it. If anyone can think what the problem might be, why my options don't have the same things to click when I right or left click...or any other help at all, I would be very grateful to read them....and I will try them when my stress level has fallen back down. Meanwhile - thank you all so very much!! One of these days, it WILL happen! Just not right now.

Sewinglady, it refuses the image David found as being too big, too many kb's, and says it has to be no more than 39.1. I have saved it to my computer. I'm still getting the same message.

 

I managed to get it accepted by just putting it into my pictures and accessing it through downloads. Try rightclick 'copy image URL' here - go to your avatar direct
When you get it done I will change my avatar... It's Yours!!

 

Thank you, David. I've done as you suggested....I can get it here, but cannot - no matter how I try - get it to my avatar! I've even tried other pictures - same thing. I think my avatar is broken...it goes to default for all of them. Then it says 'the information doesn't match'. And I can't find a way to get it to stop.

 

You have done well to get the picture to here. Hard part over... at avatar, you may have to first delete the symbol for female - does it ask you to delete current avatar?

You said you have managed to save it to your computer right? I took some screenshots, maybe they will help, maybe not. But at least let us know what goes wrong when you try to do the following:

First: Go to your profile page



Click on the avatar



Then a window opens, click "choose file"



Find the image on your computer, click it and select "Open"



Then you have to wait a few seconds, but if everything goes fine, it should say "Upload completed" and you can press OK




If it says that the image is too big, then something weird must have happened when you saved it to your computer (because it really is fine as it is). How did you save it? Did you right click and choose "Save as.." like in this picture? or did you do something else?

 

For the siggy, right click, copy URL
The click on your forum name, then signature
When the box opens there'e an icon that looks like it's got a mountain and sun on it, next to the smiley face. Click it.
The box should say insert URL.
Paste your copied link in (ctrl and v is the shortcut on my windows PC)
Then click the green insert.
Then save changes and that should work!

 

Oh you guys!! I've just read this wonderful page - and I'm laughing through many tears!! I have no words to thank you all from my heart!
This has been so frustrating....and I think part of the problem may be that I think I hit a 'default' button somewhere in all the clicking....which may be why I keep getting the 'does not match information' popup. If so, I haven't been able to find anything to reverse this, and have not found that 'default' thing again.
Mir...I l-o-v-e your instruction/pictures! I have been doing everything as instructed, and it goes well right up to clicking "open".....that's when I get the popup that says "does not match...", or "too large", or "too long(siggy)"....
Nevertheless - I am so moved by all your willingness to help that I'm going to 'try, try, try' again! right now.

(P.S.....David...............A p-i-g???! Your avatar was much more attractive as a flower!!! LOL! Hope you will reconsider....)
