I don't know whether to be happy I guessed right or nervous about what BP has in store for us.!

I would have enjoyed the birthday celebration a lot more if it had not been for those products. The rest of the requirements seemed to be reasonable. I may have been unlucky with what was asked for but was very blessed to have such good friends and neighbors who sent the timers so I could reset my task and try, try, and try again!

Can anyone say how one can stop automatic creation of smileys in you post? When I typed the morse code, the symbols get converted automatically to smileys. Any idea how ?

It seems I didn't do the Birthday Event. I'm looking forward to this one as the format is new to me.

 

You can disable them by adding this: [1plain] -your text here- [/plain] --just remove the 1 from the code. So instead of this , for example, you'll get this :)
Does that make sense at all?

Why does it show pheromones as requirements and rewards?

 

Arielh,

The pheromones are probably just a placeholder, so as not to give too many clues at once. I highly doubt pheromones will be an actual requirement (kind of like when the rumors for the new mill showed feed ingredients such as Hit Singles).

I do not know who I should blame?
Yesterday, someone in my Market has purchased 500 pheromones of my list for a price of 590 CC / unit due to misjudging of the rumor picture.

Oh well, I feel sorry, but life must go on. At least (s)he CAN use them for next breeding based event.

 

USER=1036]@SillyGuy[/USER] I bought over 1000 pheromones, thou only in the 100-150 CC range.
I promptly resold some in the 400 CC range. I also picked up some very nicely priced cow's milk & angora wool from the same seller. Chances are that your buyer got their's at a reasonably average price for all the lots bought.

about the picture in above post - The reward also shows pheromones. If that has been given due consideration, I think there would have been no misconception. This is a rumour section & everything should not be just taken at their face value. The said pictures came from official source through official persons(the moderators) who posted them in various forums. It didn't strike me to add a warning. Pheromones are present in many rumour pictures instead of the original ones. I am really sorry if some player lost CCs due to the said picture. But don't worry, may be you can save it & resell during beaver breeding event. Every cloud has a silver lining.

 

Does anyone know/remember if the products that will be required is based on what workshops you have or that you "should" have/based on your level.
I only have three workshops rabbit shearing, sheep shearing, paint factory.
Guess I will find out in three days - not enough cc's to buy any products anyway.

 

For the last Birthday event, I remember distinctly being asked for items that I did not have and could not make, but I could buy in the market. At the time I had very few ccs, so I was very lucky to have terrific neighbors who regularly sent the timer to let me change what was required. I didn't finish the event, but it was lots of fun. I'm looking forward to what new twists are in store for us!

On another note, Harvey has taken a leave of absence from my farm and I shall miss him. But he went out in top style, leaving an Orange Panda upgrade in my barn!

 

My market is slowly getting wiped out of products - cooking pots were at 20000cc at one point! That is the only part I'm dreading - the products, I spent much of my time resetting last birthday event.

 

Birthday events are usually on January, why do people start buying products now?

 

@Arielh the Pharaoh event is probably just like the birthday event we had earlier. Mir linked the FAQ in her post. So I guess that's why people are buying the products - to be prepared
