This event mechanism will be like Farmerama's 5th Birthday: Teleporter (from the 27th of January until the 2nd of February)

Just like in teleporter event, neighbours might gift you sundial using which you can opt for a new event requirement, if you do not have resources to meet present event requirement. It is not a drop.

My theory of why products are going crazy in the market is....that people are trying to finish FSQ's to attain stars to open the new rain forest. It's just a theory.....anyone have any other ideas???

 

I think it is a combination of trying to do product fsqs and this event, trying to buy them before (if) they are needed in the event and getting the stars for the rainforest.

 

Strategy Question: Anyone putting out their under performing workshops in anticipation of this event? I had stopped using my Chicken Egg farms, Cow and Goat Dairies, and Bee Apiary because they aren't profitable normally. I have all of the others out, but I am hesitant to add these.

 

I only keep the workshops of expensive products running. I have some stock of all the products - it varies a lot form product to product, but I hope to be able to have what required and sell the rest at good prices

 

Learning a lot about farm management from you all. I think some of the price rise & high buying might also be because there is to be a barn burning event(TOP 1000) in future. May they are doing stock up. All reasons put together - market activities are high.

I do not use egg, milk or honey farms either - time consuming, space occupying - also having trees cost you no animal feed& animals

 

I use milk and eggs to make Baha and bakery products, but I rarely buy them... I have trees.

Glad about the sundials! That mechanism saving me using some high value products several times during the last event where timers were used.

I stopped using apiary, and cow and goat dairies, as soon as I got trees for the products. I have been blessed with sufficient trees that I can sell surplus products when prices are high - like now! Like Meba, I keep a few high value workshops running for personal use or for money making - especially those paint palettes.

Speaking of those high market prices, I agree with Avienne_1 and 12ss12. The market rise seems to be a combination of supplying those trying to complete FSQ for stars (PF and BEP prizes also); along with some market speculation/stocking up for upcoming events.
