Halfway through on Jutes...

 

I'm not sure where I'm at with the event. Other than all over the place

Silver lvls: done
Gold lvls: 4 of 6 done
Diamond lvls: 1 of 6 done

Why this strange approach you might ask? I have no reason other than working around what drops I have and trying to always have all my crops in so I can get the free 5 every few hrs. Worth being lost? Sure, lol. Goes right along with my crazy RL right now.

Not worried about finishing. I do plan to plant some longer growing crops tonight though. I want better drop amounts in the morning. That and I have a migraine today and don't want to look at the computer every few hours. Can't wait to be done working so I can get some sleep to be rid of it.

I have enough event crops. Planted carnations on all 3 fields (1x1 plots) to max the drops.

I have all my event crops and now just need to get my drops. All those Santa's really don't want to give up their hats, do they?

 

Indeed they won't. I've got kinda the same problem. I need about 30 hats to finish one task... And it ain't easy to get them

I think the drops for the Santa Hats is suppossed to be slightly lower than the Presents, since you need 100 less of the Hats. I have not donated anything yet on my Farm, I have a total of 543 Presents and 449 Hats. I assume that I will have enough of each drop.

 

I am quite happy with my progress so far.
Only level 2 and level 6 gold and diamond left.
The level 2 because I was leaving it to the last. The level 6, because I am raising the fish.
Have all the animals and the event crops now, just waiting on the hats and presents.

 

I understand the different drop rates relating to the total hats and presents needed, but I'm not going to finish everything so I need more hats than presents. I'm finding it difficult to get them!

 

Ugh, won't a day. I planted 3 full fields of event crop when I needed only....0.

I could have planted longer crops that I actually need in my barn. Oh well. Moving on.... Just working on the last of my drops that I need.

3 fields of carnations and some animals and Bromeliads on 1x1 plots gave me around 131 Holiday presents and around 130 Santa hats.
I am happy.. I have planted another round of carnations on all of the 3 mainfarm fields and Ginger on Baha. will see if I can finish this event tomorrow?

By the way I have got all the ep givers. I've placed them on the park and Shipwreck Bay. I'm not going to put them on the new cloud row when I have crops on all fields.

 

I have all my givers on shipwreck at the moment. Planted some rye etc. so have all the drops and just growing the final round of crops - even I got slightly antsy about the drops this time and that's not happened in a while!

 

Hello all, relative newbie here, got some questions for you.

So, the cloud row is very new to me, having just recently unlocked it. I was disappointed to discover that I didn't have enough 1x2 decorations to fill the 2nd and 3rd row so I can get the bonuses, so now, I've had my eye out for those 1x2 decorations.

I don’t expect to complete all tasks for this event, but wanted to finish the Level 4 & 6 diamond tasks, to get the 1x2 Bakers Delight and 1x2 Nutcracker special items. But first, as recommended repeatedly here, I focused on the cheese factory and stalk row, which I've just completed.

Here are my questions:

1) The awarded stalk row appears to only take the special decorations from this event. Is this going to change? Was it worthwhile to go for the row, when one wasn't going to be able to complete the other tasks awarding the decorations that would go in it?

2) Let’s say I was only able to get the 1x2 Bakers delight, would I be able to place this in a normal row after the event, or is this and the other special decorations, limited to the themed row?

I am a somewhat newer player, but I think I can answer your questions:

First, this cloud row, like most event row clouds require the specific EP givers offered within the event. Without those, the cloud row is worthless. Sorry, MANY of us have made that mistake. In fact, I posted a suggestion not so long ago that they clarify this better. (you might add your comment there?)

The decorations, however are worthwhile in and of themselves. You can place them on your fields or, when you get to the correct level, in your park.

You CAN place any EP-giver on the cloud rows ( I distinguish the EP givers from the decorations because those that don't give EPs generally cannot be put on the cloud rows.)

On normal cloud rows, you can place basically any appropriately-sized EP giver (but in most or all cases not plain decorations) . The trick is whether it is worthwhile to do that. Add up the EPs and see. I have a couple that give 650 EP. Its not worth putting that on a row that only gives 1000 EP (just as an example). I have that item in my park instead.

As per the 1 X 2 decorations, I find them few and far between. Volcanoes and cheering fans seem to come up for sale in the pirate cove regularly, but not the 1 X 2 sized ones (at least not the ones that are within my budget).

Hi all. I am in sunny mexico right now on an anniversary trip and am logging on as I can. I am just about there on the Jute, should finish tomorrow with enough for the cloud row and items to sit there. My problem is the drops. Hard to tell the hubby hey, I need to farm a bit on a romantic holiday. I have done the silver level all the way to six and am going to start the gold level as I can. Hope I finish all of 3-6 but if drops don't come better, not sure. No real strategy, except to farm a bit here and there.
