    I have looked on the FAQ for the new donkey event and i am unable to find out if and when the scrap metal will become a drop item. I have seen other peoples threads and questions about it and the replies are not that direct in the final answer.
    I know scrap metal can be in toolboxes, but i need to know if they will be a drop item like the zen rake.

    I am not a Mod, but I got my first scrap metal from drops. It went active as soon as we could breed donkeys. Hope this helps.

    river, I am not a mod either but I can confirm baw's answer. My first scrap metal came from a harvest of animal pens. They are rare like the zen rake and parrot feather collecting arm (hand). Good luck!

    Thankyou both for your assistance, that is correct.

    The Scrap Metal is a tool drop you can receive whilst harvesting your animals/crops/trees.

    Can I assist the OP further?

    Thank you to all three of you, i was hoping that the scrap metal would be a drop item, but wasn't sure as the one's i've gotten are all from XXL tool boxes from quests. As i have about 80 or so trees out and 45+ animals i thought i would have scrap metal as a drop item, so hopefully i will get one soon.
