Screw up of the day

Just wasted 200 super grow on a field of... potatoes

Accidentally clicked an extra time after sowing the potatoes and hit the SG button

I used a whole field of Suzy Spray on 1x1's.

I only meant to use some but forgot you can't do it that way.

 

Happened for me with Suzy's once. 200 Suzys down the drain, just like that! And on Oats. I had trees on that field as well and wanted to Suzy those, just hit the wrong button on the harvester.

 

I've been known to SG lettuce.

 

I have used PF to chickens but I remember that I refreshed the page the exact moment but I am not sure if I used it or not...
Some other times though I have used PF to animals that I didn't want to

 

Are we limited to just one screw up a day? I'm afraid I'll have trouble deciding. It's entirely too easy to misclick.

 

Oh my... I know I mess up at least once a day. I have a nice little list right next to my computer. It says:

1. 1. Set the owl free (and other pets)
   2. Take care of the buffs (including the Island one)
   3. Reap my harvest
   4. Check progress on goals on my handy-dandy-trusty spreadsheet
   5. Set goals for the day
   6. Sow the next item from the goal sheet
   7. Set the Mill going with a bunch of feed
   8. Go to the Market and sell surplus of feed
   9. Go to the Artisan Village and consume my daily 5, then begin a batch of whatevers
   10. Go to forum

Sounds like a great plan, don't you think?

Yep! And then I harvest without any buffs.

 

Just today I was rushing, switching out animal stables , used machinery to delete the field, forgetting all about the wolves and workshops which had already been fed...
gets better.. fed with PF

Well, mine is not as bad as some others, but it still stung! I messed up one of the first plantings of Moonlight Mania... I needed to plant longer crops as I was going to work, so I went to plant my green meadow and glade in kohlrabi + manure. So I did... and then I realized I wasn't on the green meadow!


Thankfully I had a harvester coupon going... but man it hurt to delete all that manure and good kohlrabi seed! I paid good CCs for that lol! And with MM going on and an event starting the next day, it would have sold for max price too! Just thankful it wasn't any worse...

@Daisy~ I use "timer tab" to remind me to do things... it make clock chimes and flashes when ready. I really like the fact that you can put a title on it like: !!!CAC!!! (I need as many reminders as I can get lol!)

 

Saved the last seeds I need to plant for the event and then dutifully forgot about them and chucked in a load of animal pens and to top it off I still have 20 hrs left on my CAC Think I will be deleting those animals!

those harvest without eat CAC, activiate pet without check my plant ready or not,
always happen occasionally.
However, it remind me: I play this game for relax. So, clam down. nothing big.

Timer-tab?

Edit: Never mind - found it. And.... I think I'm going to love it!

 

It's on on-line timer that I use. The best part is that you can see how much time you have left in the browser tab. Right now I have chickens ready to harvest in 12 minutes 45 seconds... (Just took a quick glance up from typing to see the time!)

You will have to google it as I can't post the website here. It's called "timer tab" or "timer_tab". I think it's also available as a Chrome app, but I think I turned that function off as it put a "your timer is ready" pop-up each time the timer went off. I can't remember if the pop-ups were getting annoying or if turned it off as I was typing homework and it kept interrupting me in mid-thought! But one day I clicked something, the pop-ups stopped and I've since adjusted lol!

 

Planted all 3 fields of jutes when I just needed 300 more

 

Can't remember which farm it was but yesterday, I clicked on Jute - and, somehow, planted Blackberries! Now, do I take a little longer to finish the crops or delete the (200) Blackberries? No contest, out Blackberries, in Jute! I hate wasting crops!

As I read down this list, I think I have done most if not all these things - sometimes many in the same day! I don't rely on lists, spreadsheets, timer tabs - I'm sure they would be very useful but I would only forget to complete/set them. My way of reminding myself I need to do something, I leave something out of place by or on the computer - then I think hmmm why did I do that? My version of a knot in the hanky (does anybody use hankies these days - it's all tissues isn't it?). Sorry, starting to ramble and go off topic ...

Keep an eye out on your mouse... Quite a while ago I noticed I kept planting blackberries instead of an event crop (especially on the glade!) Turns out my mouse was registering multiple clicks instead of just one! It took me a while to figure out, but I wanted to give you the heads up - just in case!

@daisy ~ Glad you like it!! The timer is great if you are going to be on-line for a while ~ otherwise when my laptop goes into sleep mode it disconnects the sound. Strangely enough, I can bypass that (on my computer) by playing music on either Iheartradio or youtube. The screen will shut off, but music on both keeps on playing! (I will admit to times of getting lost in worship and then being shocked to be rudely interrupted by the farm timer!) Oh wait! Who set that again?? - lol!!
