Searching Gift and Trade

    There is a search feature on the GT but it needs to be further refined, in my opinion.

    There should be two -- the one on the right is for "searches by others" and there should be one added on the left for "offers from others".

    This will cut down on the number of pages you have to look through when searching for a particular item.

    Sounds good to me!
    In the meantime,
    You can sort of do this if you are looking for a particular item by limiting the options on that side. For example, if you want a deco item, then select just "other" on the "search" side and "all" (or whatever category you wish) on the "offer" side.

    I have been doing that but was thinking about when you have extra of an item and want to know what people are willing to trade for it.

    This type of search would not be limited by type but would include all items -- it would help if the search did not include both the requests for the item and the offers of the item (especially the popular ones).

    Or if you have an item and want to know what are other players are offering before deciding to trade or keep.

    I agree it would be convenient. That said, I am hardly finding anything in the G & T any longer. I don't have a problem searching because there just isn't much. Offerings are all junk, things like giving an elderberry tree for a Howie Donut. Unless they expand the Gift and Trade markets some way, I think a lot of older players are starting to basically give up on G & T. This might help some, but the problem is some of the older items may only be wanted by a few people, people not necessarily in your market and likely not posting in the forums either.

    New item added to GT is Nectarine Tree -- when I last searched there were 9 pages of offers. Needless to say; most of these listings were people searching for Nectarine Trees not offering them. Also, in this case most of the offers were trees for the Nectarine so the search filter would not really help that much this time -- I do use it for other offers and it seems to work great cutting the lists down a lot.

    Agreed, its just a "best we can do for now" solution. Your idea would be nice.
