Seeking Advice: What Animal Breeding Rune Should I Get?

Are there certain Animal Breeding Runes that are more worthwhile than others? How do I tell?

I am now breeding chickens to get the Neon upgrade pens. Should I get the Chicken Breeding Rune?

 

Hi Twinks There are two different "breeding runes", not sure which one you mean. The first one gives a colored animal, the second a "breeding starter pack". The breeding starter pack usually contains 20 base animals, plus a few other things related to breeding like some power feed.

In case it is the first: Have you opened the magical stalk yet? If not, I recommend the Flaming Steer (colored cow). You will need it in the quest to open the stalk. If you already have the stalk, just choose one you like. Take one you need for a breeding goal, or you can check the market prices to see which ones are more valuable in the market. Most of them are level 5 breeding animals, but there is one level 6, the builder cuckoo, but it costs many more stars than the others.

In case you mean the breeding starter packs: There is indeed one which is more valuable than the others. The "Kooky Cuckoo" starter pack gives 20 wooly-snout cuckoos, which are first level colored cuckoos. But be aware that there is another starter pack giving basic cuckoos.

 

Hi Mir, thank you so much for your advice. =) Until now I didn't know that the coloured animal rune is a breeding rune. I don't remember what animal I picked for that one, most probably one with the least stars. >.<

And thank you for pointing out that there are more than one cuckoo starter packs. There's so many starter packs that my eyes crossed. After much deliberation I decided, since I have to spend at least 50 stars, I might as well spend a bit more for a lot more value. I'll keep those wooly-snouts for Neon Cuckoo Event. =D

Honesty, I'm hoping it will take some time before we get the next Neon Stalls. Not - enough - powerfeed. >.< But then again, there'll never be enough powerfeed. =P
